Game of the Year 2008

Any thoughts on the crown game this year?

I'm thinking Metal Gear Solid 4

What are you basing this on? Sales? Preference? Reviews? Don't be so general.

I'm thinking GTA4 will take GOTY. On game sites and magazines, anyway. We just haven't really had many AAA titles this year.

Preference. Basically, what do you think was the best game released this year?

I'm waiting till the new Prince of Persia comes out; then we'll see.

Since all the review sites were all "OMG PERFECT 10" to GTA IV, I'm sure it'll win a lot of them.

Gears of War 2 will probably win a couple, that's what I'd vote for.

Brawl has too many flaws to be GOTY. You may not like them, but games like GTA4 and MGS4 are much less flawed, which means that they are closer to perfection that Brawl is.

Just look at the next gen graphics, the revolutionary controls utilizing the Wii Balance Board, and the Title.omaigawd.
In all seriousness, I think LBP will receive major props for everything it has done.

Truthfully, i give it a 9.2

I think this should win game of the year, it's never been done before and is a completely new concept.
It should win for originality, but that's my opinion.

GTA4 is much more flawed, and is lends itself to much less playability. Brawl will be played for years. GTA4, one or two weeks.

It looks like a great game, while I haven't played it, I could see it getting GOTY in a lot of places, and from what I've heard and seen, I would agree. However, to say it's never been done before is a blatant lie.

Bethesda. Bethesda never changes.

Well it's somewhat similar except the story isn't the most important part of the game.
The biggest part of the game is level creation. You make your own levels with bosses, etc, and post them for the whole community to see and play.
IT's really fun! I'm still trying to get the level creation part down. Haha I'd recommend it to anyone!

I vote Gears, but it's obvious SSBB takes the cake.
Course that was supposed to be 2007.

And I already seem enough people gawking over "C*ck of Doody 5".
Honestly, it's the same theme over and over. At least #4 was different.
