Game of the Year 2008

Nintendo: SSBB
Microsoft: Fable 2
Sony: MGS 4

They're all awesome in their own ways. I love RPGs so my pick is Fable 2.

Game of the Year 2008: Metal Gear Solid 4 - Metal Gear Solid 4 is the best game in the series, and pushes the boundary for a cinematic gaming experience. 10/10

MGS4 is a great game, but it isn't worth just buying a PS3 for.

I Find games froms N64 and back uncomparible with games of the gamecube gen to present. Not because they arnt as good ,its because games are completely different now. So, with that being said, OoT I still keep in my mind as the greatest game ever, but at the same time, i say the same thing about MGS4. Best of the old style, best of the new. I am going to be very, very surprised if MGS4 doent sweep everything at the awards (only were it's nominted of course)

I would doubt Mirror's edge will nominated, but I would hope it would because there in-lies another unique game! (With the exception of Condemned or w/e, but Mirror's Edge was more action packed!)

Call of Duty 4 was better on the PS3, as it was built on that platform first. Since they use the same engine, in theory, the PS3 version would be superior again. Though I have heard nothing to that effect. And it's not Call of Duty 5. That's coming out next year.

I think this should really win game of the year. SSBB, eh... Already been done before.
LBP, been done, but I've never heard of the other version... And I've seen some levels that has blown me away!!!

One thing that drove me crazy about LBP, and this shouldn't hurt it's chances for GOTY, but i hated the music in the game. The only thing that i didnt really like.

Haha I liked it, I thought it was different and interesting, but I didn't like the Wedding's song...
But this was defiantly the best song in my opinion!! Haha XD

Yeah, the main theme, and really all the music I've heard from Little Big Planet, is amazing. It's almost all music I'd go watch preformed live, even if it was never in any sort of game.

Wedding Reception is one of the few 'meh'ish songs.

DS game of the year - Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift.

Wii game of the year - Super Smash Bros. Brawl/Mario Kart Wii/Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Brawl! Seeing as it was sold out everywhere, I gotta think that it would be a good choice.

My votes will have to go for a Wii GOTY.

Yes, I do agree that it's flawed.
But overall, this is the best Wii game yet. And thinking about all consoles, it definitely remains a terrific game. Has chances of becoming an overall Game of the Year.

AHHH! that the main one that i hate! lol! I played the beta, ant thats all, because i havent boughten it yet, so there werent many songs i heard. The ones i did hear, especially the one you posted... AHHH! I dont know what exactly it is about the music, maybe it's the flute, i dont know. lol

Trust me, the music doesn't affect the over all game.
This is one of the most original games up to date, I think it deserves GOTY

This was a terrible year in gaming.

There were like 3 or 4 games I liked all year.

Of course the games I like aren't going to make the Game of the year.

Except for maybe CoD5 (Zombie Nazi's rule)

Brawl is meh, it is fun, but flawed.

Never played GTA IV

Never Played Gears 2 (and I disliked Gears one a lot, so I don't think I'd like 2)

Haven' Played LBP, but I want to, I may give it my nod.

The only other games I play anymore is brawl, CoD, and GH, and GH/RB aren't exactly GOTY material, although they are to me.

Zack and Wiki came out in Europe and Australia in 2008.... GOTY.
