How 'bout I reply to whomever I wish, m'kay? When I addressed Beh, I obviously addressed everyone that shared the same opinion.

^ Beh and Snow Storm are right that this is a slap to the face to musicians, whether you like it or not. You just happen to be an exception.

Games like Call of Duty and Madden are exempt from these accusations because they are actually good games that do a good job of simulating what they set out to. Wii music isn't even about playing music. It's just about waggling at the right time.

This. I'm sorry Snow_Storm, but GH isn't some exception because it's more fun for you. It's a crappy crap where you press buttons while slapping a plastic knob. It's nothing like playing guitar.

Guitar Hero: Sucks
Rock Band: Sucks
Wii Music: Sucks

Thank you so much for your opinion. I'm sure other musicians have their own opinion too.

I wasn't referring to rhythm instruments, I was referring to rhythm games. As in 'push this button at this time.' Nothing to do with playing drums or anything rhythm, unless like Beh said, it can transfer over from the Rock Band kit to a real kit...which I suppose is possible, because looking at a rock band kit, it isn't too different from a really simple electronic drum kit.

Yes, yes it is. One in which you must listen to their crappy tracks and play along with that crappy track's crappy guitar. Screw the ability to make your own music. Listen to bad band's bad songs.

I said slap in the face, Snow Storm's opinion wasn't as harsh.

It makes a signifigant difference to those haters out there.

Re: Rejoice! Wii Music isn't selling that well!!

I personally enjoyed Wii Music, though I see why some people don't like it. Like brawl, this game is alot funner with friends. Though I don't get why you like that it isn't selling well. They're making new Zelda's and other good series, I find this as a good way to waste some time.

This is probably one of the best and most well though-out posts in this thread. :/ (It only took us 2 pages, yay!)

I'm curious as to how it's more fun with friends.

I'm also curious about the drum kit mode they showed at E3. Is it as resposnive as it looked?

You're kidding me, right?

Both GH and RB have some amazing songs that everyone should hear once.

Name ten songs from each of them that are crappy.

Nope, not kidding you. Ten from GH and RB? I'll be sure to do that after school.

It's fun to make songs together that sound messed-up. Also, it's fun to make jokes about each other's songs.

The dude abides. (Though, I don't think the dude would abide with the severe lack of Creedence in both games. No, the Fortunate Son cover that is DLC for rock band doesn't count.)

Wii Music is a pretty throw-a-way title. It's a fun diversion for a little while, I guess, but I'm certainly glad I didn't pay for the copy I'm playing. The only mode that is even remotely cool is the Conductor mode. It's simple, and you'll tire of it after a few songs, but you feel like a bad ass conducting an orchestra that is composed of people like Stalin, Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Bill Cosby, Samuel L Jackson, and Micheal Jackson.

Granted my Mii collection is just awesome.

Anyway, the Jam Session mode is terrible. There's little to no rhyme or reason to anything you do in the mode. I think a friend of mine summed it up best by saying "I don't think you're really playing. I think you're just humoring the game."

Good to know I'm not the only one with a messed up Mii collection.

You forgot Buddah, Jesus, Peter Parker, Bruis Wayne, and James Bond.

Yeah, I have all of those as well plus others like Bob Barker, Bob Saget, Alex Trebek, Miyamoto, Reggie, and a ton of others. I just didn't want to list the whole thing here.

I have nearly every member of every band I listen to. XD

Re: Rejoice! Wii Music isn't selling that well!!

I don't see what the big deal is. I actually think Wii Music looks kinda fun, but I've never played it, so I don't know yet. I'm a musician, and from what I've seen of the game, I can't say that it's embarrassing to me.

The point of it is to entertain, as all video games are intended, and as long as it entertains some people, what's the problem with it selling well? It's not like Nintendo is going to stop making their trademark franchises; what they're trying to do is get a whole wide variety of people in their audience to play their games, so that they can make even more money. That's why they have a ton of more "family friendly" games, and clearly what they're doing is working, since the Wii is still hard to find.
