Re: Game Recommendations V.3
Some good RPGs for the DS would be Dragon Quest 4, The World Ends with You, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Final Fantasy 4, and Sonic Chronicles.

OHO~
Well let Mike break out his Nintendo Power and see what we have. Ninjatown, Ni No Kuni: The Another World, World Destruction, Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness, Castlevania: Judgement, Elebits: The adventures of Kai and Zero, Chronotrigger DS, Suikoden: Tierkreis. .. Dragonball Z: Origins? XD I'm willing to bet you'd have to wait to get most of those but at least you can look forward to them ![]()

I've been planning on playing Etrian Odyssey for awhile now, but I can only find it at stupidly expensive prices and can't work out why. It looks like my cup of tea, though I've heard it's a very focused expiriance- that is, a huge amount of team development, some level grinding, gold farming, and other activitys that operate under the same hardcore RPG banner. But as I say, I havn't played it. I brought Stalker today, in favour of Phantom Hourglass (Stalker was £5 cheaper, and I though I'd try somthing differant. I also havn't heard a lot about Stalker, and I find that freash gaming expiriances can be so much more satisfying) Did I make the right choice? |

Re: Game Recommendations V.3
...you're in England too, and I can get it for £15 pounds at John Lewis. :3
(Compare Etrian Odyssey Prices - PriceRunner any time you're looking for the best price for anything onlne, go to Pricerunner)

Re: Game Recommendations V.3
Oh my, thank you. For some reason, the only places I have foud it on the highstreet (which are few enough to begin with) always seem to have it listed at £40. For a (fairly) old DS game.
Unfortunatly I can't buy online and the nearest John Lewis to me is in Southapton (I'm on the Isle of Wight), but thanks anyway. |

What should I get for my birthday?
I have a Wii, with SSBB, SMG, Elebits, WW:SM, SPM, GH:III, GH: Aero smith, we're getting GH: WT soon, probably for Christmas. I can't get a 360, and remember that the Wii is in the open living room, where my little Brother(9) and Sister(11) are usually at. What should I get? OH YEAH! I forgot, I have a DS, with PH, Custom Robo, and Kirby Canvas Curse. I was thinking about getting TWEWY, is it any good? (reviews are generally positive).

On Wii, de Blob is a fun, creative game with a catchy soundtrack. There's also Okami (excellent action-adventure, very similar to TP), or Boom Blox (an interesting puzzle game with realistic physics). These are all family friendly. ![]() |

I'm having trouble deciding between two DS games. Apollo Justice or Mega Man ZX Advent?

Broderbund's "The Treehouse" 1989 PC
It's pretty good for it's days though lacking in certain features.
I give it a five/10 even in 1990 standars as I didn't know better back then.It allows fun and freedom while it teaches you stuff as you can do any thing you want instead of A,B,C. My favorite is the Keyboard where you play a little game to find the notes and you can listen/make your own songs with realistic instruments. (There is also info about the instrument you are using) (Now days you could probably download your own song into it if they re-made it) My other favorite is the monoploy type game where you learn about money though dorky nowadays. (small change) You gotta remember that the PC couldn't do much back then and was lucky to make more then a few bloops and beeps! :O |

Re: Game Recommendations V.3
So I recently got a PS3, can any one recommend some good multiplayer games? Preferably ones that have multiplayer offline as well as online.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3
Resistance 2 instantly comes into mind in terms of multiplayer. 8 player co-op, 60 player versus -- all of which is class based. As you would imagine, the battles can be incredibly hectic and intense. The single player campaign manages to be quite satisfying as well. I definitely recommend purchasing this game.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3
Just going to go ahead and say:
DON'T BUY GH4! I decided on it because it was the franchise that had the R.E.M. tunes this go around, but that turned out to be a fairly flimsy reason. First thing: Instruments: Exceptional, actually. The drums I got weren't broken and felt authentic. The guitar is the love-child of Rock Band's padded strummers and Guitar Hero's clicky ones. I luv it. Mic's are good enough, but still feel way too unrealistic because of their weight, circumference, and length. The character creator was great, too. The ingredients were there for awesomeness, but they screwed it up with 1.) Not enough songs. Period 2.) Not enough GOOD songs. 3.) The music creator is horrendous in sound quality. You can't tell me a Blu-Ray disc doesn't have enough space for 44.1 Mhz sound at 16-Bits. Christ. 4.) Tour is a joke. You have to purchase venues, for the love of mooses everywhere! I cannot express my disatisfaction without you hearing my voice and seeing the beating of my wings. If you can buy both games, don't worry; the formula is outstanding and patches with extra DLC could save GH4. However, with Rock Band 2, you'll get all the songs from the first [with a 6 dollar liscense fee] plus a small engine upgrade...but it is still pretty much a carbon copy of the first game. Just a rant. |
