Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Metriod Prime Corruption
Super Paper Mario
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart
Twilight Princess
WiiFit
Wii Music (don't care what others say, I want it.)

Also, no Rock Band or Guitar Hero (I have those for my PS3.) Gosh, I feel so spoiled with all these gaming devices. x3
De Blob is a pretty good platformer that doesn't get much attention. And if you have online, download Lost Winds and Mega Man 9.

Get Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn! That game is the best game ever, in my opinion. However, if you want to fully understand it, you should play the awesome GC prequel, Path of Radiance, first. :]

Get WarioWare: Smooth Moves if you can find it cheap. It's really good fun with friends. And I find Defend Your Castle (WiiWare) awesome with friends as well.

Hidden gems:
Okami - Very much like a Zelda game, this is spectacular. Completely epic almost the whole way through, and lasts ages, too.
de Blob - Like Lord Golbez said, this is a great platformer. Fairly unique and original, and a lot of fun.
Boom Blox - A very polished puzzle game, and a good party game too. This is miles better than almost every minigame compilation out, and there are tons of puzzles to do, with plenty of variety. Plus a pretty good level editor/creator.
Zack and Wiki - Another puzzle game, but these puzzles are fantastic. Seriously, this is one of the least-known Wii games in my opinion, but it's definitely among the best.

If you want any more information on these, I'll be more than happy to give you some. There are a lot of unknown Wii gems out there, and I do like to make sure they're experienced by more people if I can. ^^

As for Wii Music: YES YES YES. You either love it or hate it, but if you approach it with a (very) open mind, and very few preconceptions, you'll surely fall into the first catergory. It is a toy, not a proper game - tweaking your efforts to improve and going about things your own way is what this is all about.

And I would also agree with every game on that list. But if you're after the 'hidden gems' more, I'd hold off on a few (like Wii Fit) and get things like Okami and de Blob first.

Hope that was at least somewhat helpful (if way too lengthy).

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

Ok, a Gamestop recently moved to an area really close to my house. I was thinking about getting really cheap classics there that I didn't have. These are some games that I want:

Call of Duty 1, and 2. By these, I mean the console versions. I know they're old, but should I get them?

Medal of Honor games I have every console except for an X-box 360, and a PC (mac user). Which ones should I get?

Zelda: For Sword Adventures Never got it, but still want to try it.

These are only some games I want. Would you recommend any similar games for similar games for similar consoles? (GCN,PS2,PS3,Wii) I like action/adventure, as long as it's not too violent.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It gets a bad vibe from some Zelda fans simply because it's not much of a traditional Zelda game, and indeed the story, graphics, and music are heavily derivative and often outright copies of early games, but the gameplay is highly original. It's basically 2D Zelda with four Links, which is much easier to control than it sounds. Battles are epic, often involving dozens of enemies, challenging you to switch formations on the fly to battle them effectivley. Puzzles make good use of the four Links concept. The game isn't really challenging, but it's fun to play.

Of course, don't expect much resemblance to more tradtional Zelda adventures, but if you're open to more linear, action oriented gameplay in Zelda, I think you'll love it.

Thanks for the recommendation! I definitely buy this next time I go.

Now, are there any good first-person shooters for last-gen consoles? I'll play any as long as there not too violent (not allowed to play M games). Thanks for all your support.

I've been thinking about buying Animal Crossing: City Folk. Is it worth buying? I have the DS version of the game, and I really like it, but should I just keep playing that, or buy AC: CF?

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

Not strange tastes! Unique tastes! Some good RPGs that I would recommend are:
  • Secret of Mana
  • Sword of Mana
  • Super Mario RPG
  • Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (One or Two)
  • Breath Of Fire (LOVE this one)
  • Breath Of Fire II
  • Riviera
  • Chrono Trigger
  • Chrono Cross

I've played all these games, and they are fabulous.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

Well, it really depends on what kind of RPGs you're into specifically, but my votes go to as follows:

-Tales of Symphonia/Tales of Vesperia (GC/360)
-Skies of Arcadia (GC)
-Disgaea/Disgaea 2/Makai Kingdom/La Pucelle (PS2)
-Atelier Iris/Atelier Iris 2 (PS2)
-Golden Sun/Golden Sun: Lost Age (GBA)
-Paper Mario/Paper Mario:TTYD (N64/GC)

That's just a few off the top of my head.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

So I went through my collection of RPGs over the last hour and took out the ones I haven't finished yet (However, I seem to have missplaced about half my PSX games -_- and I know Vagrant Story was in there... haven't finished that one yet.)

Anyways, which would you recommend to play first? And why?

Chrono Cross
Star Ocean: The Second Story
Breath of Fire IV
Rogue Galaxy
Okage: Shadow King
Shining Force EXA

Crono Cross, definitely. It's a cool game. Almost as cool as Crono Trigger.

Okami, Okami, Okami.

I cannot stress my love for this game, if you like Zelda (>_>) BUY THIS, and tell all your friends to buy it. I want a sequel.
