Re: Game Recommendations V.3

I recommend Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. It is by far the best Spidey game yet. For the first time, it actually feels like you're playing as Spidey. The old monotonous combat of the other games has been replaced with a style that seamlessly mixes web-swinging and fighting. It has its flaws what with the camera still being as wonky as ever when you’re climbing on buildings, but it still feels like an awesome game that will not disappoint. On a lesser note, it’s also awesome to play with the REAL Black Suit, not that stupid one from the movie, but the genuine, Secret Wars Black Suit.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

Pros-
Tons of sidequests and tons of treasure to be found
Cool new characters, races, and items
Fun, epic bosses

Cons-
Short and easy
Sailing gets tedious after awhile if you don't have the patience for it
Triforce quest is also kinda tedious

Not just RPGs but good games overall.
I rely fell in love with the Legend of Mana series. I have Sword of Mana (GBA), Children of mana (DS) and Heroes of Mana (DS) and I can recomend them. Heroes of Mana is more like command and concur, you gather resourses and make troops to save the world so it's different from the other games.

Tinle's Rosy rupeeland is nice too.

Okami is a great game if you like Zelda games. It's also relatively cheap compared to other Wii games. It has a beautiful art style too.

I don't know how to convince you, but...

You all absolutely have to get the Phoenix Wright games for the DS.
Just watch some videos of it, and you'll get what I mean. Even though it's really linear, you still feel you achieved something when you start your counterattack or win a case.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

I owe one PS2, PSP and a Nintendo DS. Lately I'm addcted to Patapon, one of the most hilaruous games I ever played. It's for PSP, and has a very original and criative gameplay: you are the god of Patapons and have to lead them to Erathend, where they can reach "IT" - the game does not say what is "IT". To control the Patapons, you use a sort of songs. Different songs make differents things, as order they to march or atack. You have to keep the rythm, or will loose control over them.

Well, it's hard to explain this way, so watch this video to have a better idea.

Patapon is a great game indeed. If you've got a PSP, there's no excuse to not have at least tried this game. You'll get addicted to it. I bought a PSP with 5 games and in two days I had played Patapon for over 10 hours.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

I need to seriously get a new Wii game.

I have Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart Wii, and Wii sports. Are there any good games that I would like that fits in with my games?

Action, adventure, and puzzle games are the type of games that I like to play, as long as they have over 50 hours of play value. Any advice?

Hmmm, maybe Metroid Prime: Corruption?

I haven't tried it, but it's supposed to be good.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

Geeze, RPG seem to be all the rage here.
I'm finding now that most RPG's are too much like oblivion, or fable.
I'm just wondering, is there any recomendations for some older RPGs? Somthing like Tales of Symphonia or even Shining Force 2 (because i think it's the only shining force game i played.) I just want somthing a little older to play, don;t like how alot of games are turning out at the moment.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

So, having played Team Fortress 2, having played Half-Life 2 (only the first instalment however) and having finally played and finished Portal today, I can safely say that the Orange Box is probably the greatest deal on the market today, and I urge every single one of you that is capable of owning it to purchase it. Valve needs your money to make more of this genius.

I agree. I've never pirated any Valve game, they're that good. Favorite developer, along with Nintendo. And, like Nintendo, most of their games are high quality. Seriously people, get the Orange Box if you still haven't.

Does anyone remember Beyond Good & Evil? It didn't have much commercial success, but it's a great game nonetheless! Great storyline, good graphics and a simple control scheme.

I have to recommend Crayon Physics Deluxe. This game is more addictive than WoW.

I would tell you more but I've got to get back to it. So, download the demo. Seriously, do it.

Re: Game Recommendations V.3

I got a Wii for my birthday (though that's not till the 21st, but still).

So, with that being said, I want some Wii game recommendations. I'm trying to look for Hidden Gems, that haven't gotten a lot of spotlight like Mario has. Before anyone starts, please be aware that the following games are on my list:

Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Metriod Prime Corruption
Super Paper Mario
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Kart
Twilight Princess
WiiFit
Wii Music (don't care what others say, I want it.)

Also, no Rock Band or Guitar Hero (I have those for my PS3.) Gosh, I feel so spoiled with all these gaming devices. x3
