Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

Well, I have recently played Zero Mission, and played Fusion a long time ago. I loved both games, but one just didn't seem to live up to the other one, and that one IMO is Zero Mission.

Did Zero Mission live up to Fusion? If you vote on the poll, please make a post saying why.

To me, I think it didn't. It seemed to be almost a carbon copy of the original Metroid, but jacked up. To add to that, the game was MUCH too easy. I beat the game in a few hours, not even that. Metroid Fusion was much more challenging.

So what do you think?

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

No.

-I loved the feel of Fusion. I can't really say too much more. I liked the look of Samus in Fusion. In ZM, she just looked plain UGLY! Another thing; I've already played the bigger part of ZM in the orginal, so I knew where to go and etc.

Plus the fact that the whole first part of the game had the original story and nothing more. The whole time you just collect power ups. Some story. Yawn. Go to point A. Look familar from the original? Mr. Chozo says go to point B. Why??! To get another power up. At least in Fusion, you went to every place Adam told you to go to for a reason.

Hardly any hallways increased to a 2 screen size room. Some did, but the whole time you going through boring 1 screen sized rooms. It gets kind of repetitive.

I also wanted to go back to Maridina(sp?)

Man, lots pf people finish it in like, 45 minutes...
But I like taking times with games, it's alot better that way.

45 minutes is not possible. I'd understand an hour and a half, but 45 minutes is out of the question.

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

Well I think most people could finish it faster because they have played the original metroid game, but it took longer for me because I have never played the entire original Metroid, just a very tiny bit of it, so I did not know where to go. But the game was easy either way. And yes I do not think that it is possible to finish it in 45 minutes.... I agree with Japas.

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

I thought both games were very good. But MZM has way more reaplay value and Samus's new suit in fusion is hideous. MZM was very easy though. Yet Both were good. So I'd say they were about the same.

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

maridia wasn't in the original metroid, it was in super metroid...

Anyway, ZM, even though it was short in play time, was still an exciting edition to the metroid series... the chozo system was exactly like Adam in Fusion, the only difference being that Adam talked, and the Chozo's pointed... I liked the edition of a guide in the game, it made the game move much more smoothly...

oh well

I hate it how there's no possible way to express exaduration in text... And I know I spelt "exaduration" wrong.

But it's possible to finish it in under ninety minutes.

Yes, I know. I ment they should have included it in MZM, as MZM is lacking a water world.

I'm looking forward the next 2d Metroid game. I hope it takes place after Fusion.

Of course it lacked a "water world", it's a remake of the original.

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

From what i have seen from GC playing gameboy everyday and seeing GC play fusion on game cube i think i like the fusion one better. I like it bbecasue it seems to have more of a plot and in general the gamecube games have more in them than the gameboy games. Hey, i can be totaly wrong its just my opinon.

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

Okay, first off you do this all the time, and I will say it once more, Fusion isn't for gamecube! Every time you think it's for da cube... oh well, I hope you remember this time.

I wish that MZM had a water world, after you got the gravity suit, or maybe while in the water world, that WOULD be a nice addition to MZM...

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

Well, I'll have to admit, ZM was waaay too easy. Even though I've barely played Metroid games before, I'm in the middle of Super Metroid now , I found it to be extremely easy. Still, for some strange reason I like it more than Fusion. Who knows, maybe its because I like the classics a bit too much.

Re: Metroid Fusion vs. Zero Mission

Umm... Zero Mission has been out for a loooong time now. Most of us have beaten the game, really quickly, you should pay attention to the release of games.

But, maybe in your area it has not been released yet. It has for all of us though.

I would say yes. Because it was just a great game. I think It lived up to Fusion, but I kinda liked Fusion better because it was a different twist running away from yourself.

DOYLIE, that is borderline spam, as it is randomly placed, and has nothing to do with this post... and it is posting old information... watch out... and it's a little short too...

Anyway, I'm in the middle of Super Metroid at school... at school?!?! yea, I hang out in a room where we play games all day, so my save file is there... and it's up to the gravity suit... meh
