I like Metal Gear's story for the most part, but dear god, not when it doesnt allow me to enjoy the damn important stuff. That's why people complain about long cut scenes. Games are meant to be PLAYED.

You shouldn't say "story is not important in games", you should say "I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about games' stories".
Filming, for example, is not just plot and cinematography. Music, acting, sound (not music), etc., are just as important as the other 2 things.

MGS4 has over 8 hours of cutscenes, some spanning to an hour long!
But it's all worth it.

Regardless to what kind fo gamer you are, REs story is pure cheese and always has been. My point is that complaining about the story of one RE game over another is funny because RE's story sucks across the board.

Well, and each game has it's own seperate side-ish story to go along with the overall story. So there is nothing wrong with comparing the plot of one Resident Evil game to another. Geez, I thought you would have at least noticed that, Tiger.

There is no "good", no "bad".
It's all just opinion, your own mental view of something.
Good and bad aren't even words to me, they were made because someone wanted to enforce, or "suggest", their opinion onto other people.

The story isn't "bad", it just doesn't appeal to you. To you.
The story has cliches, some funny moments, but don't start mouthing off RE. I'm starting to get a little bit offended.

In my opinion, that's not even a Resident Evil game. It may have the name and the story, but it's just another casual game for wii fanboys.

Don't care what anyone says about the game, Darkside is gonna be badass.

Lol, it's not a matter of opinion. This game may be a spinoff, but it's a Resident Evil title nonetheless. You guys that say that games like Resident Evil 4 are not real Resident Evil titles are really living in denial. Capcom departed its initial approach to the series and now presents it in new way. The series has been updated, and no matter what your opinion is, Resident Evil titles are Resident Evil.

I knew this was going to happen. Nevertheless, I didn't stop it from happening.

Oh god, what can I say. Of course a Resident Evil game is a Resident Evil game, it's pure logic. But saying IN MY OPINION IS NOT A REAL RESIDENT EVIL GAME, means something different.

Let me put it like this: You love cheerios, and you have always loved them. But one day, the company decide that they will change the flavor and the shape of the cheerios, even though they will have the same name and the same box. They may have the same name in the box, they may even have the same nutritional value, but they will NOT BE REAL CHEERIOS, no matter what the company says.

Ps- This may be wrong, because I don't know anything about Cheerios' story, but you get the point. Besides that, my english is bad, and my redaction is worse.

And Lloyd hits on a good point. It is denial to say it's not a true Resident Evil! If you really believe that it isn't, well, I have no authority to say otherwise, it's an opinion afterall. But geez, that "not real RE" talk gets annoying. You still have the same storyline, characters, motives and the basic idea is relitively the same. RE is Capcom's to do with it what they want, weather people like it or not, doesn't change the fact that it still is infact RE.


And Darkside will be so badass! : )

It will be fun, but i can't get into the pure RES feeling with a rail shooter. I've got tat from my father.

What part of my post told you that I didn't read yours? Was it the part where I said that i'm not going to tell you that your opinion that it isn't a true Resident Evil game is wrong? Becuase what I got from that analogy was that you think it's not Resident Evil, but they still call it that. I certainly did read your post, but maybe misinterpreted it.
Don't tell me what I did, and did not do. Obviously, if i'm taking the time to reply to your post, i've read it.
