Resident Evil

Very well, to everybody.
I havent played much of the earlier games
but ive played 3 all the way thru and 1: directors cut thru too
and all the others, but not totally thru 100%
I just cant wait for 5!

And so, i feel like helping someone get thru one, but everybody here has completely beaten them. poo.

I have 17 of 20 slots 100% on RE4
yay!

I haven't played but I'm thinking of buying them for Gamecube (Now that I have a Wii).

Yeah I love me some RE, I became a fan like 3 years ago with RE4. So I checked out the remake of RE1, It scared me *****less but I loved it.

I own the game that was supposed to be resident evil 4, it's called Devil may cry, though that was a very long time ago, before the stuff in those vids was in development I believe.

I had a pamphlet from Walmart advertising that version of RE4. I wish they would stick with that style of play from the first few. Only reason I might pick up five is for the co-op.

Anyway, my favorite is probably 2. I didn't play the remake of one, but I already own a couple of versions of that game so I don't want to buy it again.

Well you'll be pleasantly surprised by the Remake, it's almost completely different (except for setting and story) from the original.

Anyway, the first Beta later became DMC, but the second and third Beta still had a freaky mansion and some weird **** going on.

Freaky mansion + Weird **** + Leon = Awesome Resident Evil Game

The Gamecube version of RE4 was rated the best, I believe. I highly recommend it. I loved every minute of it, and still do to this day.

Yes, it was. It was easier for me though because I was warned fairly early on by DrZaius1 and others about which ammo to conserve for what, so I didn't get screwed on battles like other people did.
I mean, is 16 and a half hours really that fast fast for Code Veronica? I was able to beat all the others for the first time in about 7 hours.

I also just got Resident Evil Outbreak 1 & 2, Survivor, and Dead Aim off of ebay, so now my collection of the canon series is complete. I'm looking forward to playing them.

Also, anyone looking forward to that CG movie coming out in October? It will take place in 2005, (one year after 4) and feature Leon and Claire.

If you have a Wii, why not buy the Wii edition? It has the best graphics, all the extras (which the GC doesn't have) The only thing is that the Wii controllers take a few minutes to get used to but in the end, make the game apparently a lot easier. But if you never play your games beyond normal difficulty anyway that won't be such an issue. I believe the Wii version was rated worse than the GC and PS2 version because the graphics aren't up to par anymore after two years. But since you want to buy it anyway that argument is more than void.

Nothing really speaks against the Wii version that makes the GC version more wanted. I own RE4 on the GC and think it's one of the best if not the best game on the GC. I personally am strongly considering buying the Wii version as well, both for the extras and controls. And perhaps maybe, just maybe it will help getting RE5 on the Wii.

I have both versions, and the PS2 version as well. I enjoyed the GC version the most. The Wii was great, don't get me wrong, but I found the controls a bit frustrating, but that's personal opinion.

As far as the extras go, the Wii version is delightful in that aspect. I just found the Gamecube controls to be more "homey" and something that I found more familiar with the game.

I love both versions, I just prefer the Gamecube. The game is great on both platforms, it's a win-win situation, to be honest. It's just based on personal opinion. I suggest you rent the Wii version to see if you like the controls. If you like them, then you get the bonus with the extra features, etc. If not, stick with the cube version and settle for no extras. Which makes the game just as good, keep in mind.

well that and the sales of Umbrella Chronicles, in Japan their makeing a port of RE0 for the Wii. Small chance it's gonna make it here. Thats good because I'd rather have RE5 on the system anyway.

if you have no version of RE4, I suggest the wii version, since you can also control it with classic controller and gc controller.

It's a movie. I much rather had it as a game, but o well can't have everything.

Yeah, you are right, I'm not sure about the GC controller, though. The classic controller icon is on the RE4 Wii box...

not on mine, and yes, gc works fine, actually playing it now with the gc controller

anyway what do you guys think about the story of RE5 what do you think is gonna happen?

^I think one of the things RE5 will focus on is what happened to Sherry Birkin after RE2. I read somewhere that Albert Wesker and Sherry are confirmed to be in the game. Maybe Wesker and Chris will finally have that rematch and Sherry may become a BOW

I sure hope so, that battle would be awesome, Chris has been working out and his combat skills have improved and Wesker is still a freakin genius infected with an enhanced T
