Sonic and the Black Knight

EDIT: My Internet was giving me crap last night, so I was under the assumption that the game had to do something with Batman.

Sonic with a sword? I kind of like the idea.

My first thought when I saw this yesterday: "Dear lord, why? WHY? WHYYYYYYYYYYY?"

Seriously, every time they're doing it right they add another strange gameplay element to the sequel that makes it worse, the only exeptions are:
Sonic > Sonic 2
Sonic 2 > Sonic 3 (& Knuckles)
Sonic Adventure > Sonic Adventure 2

Seriosuly, next thing we know we'll have a hedgehog with a gun.

Newsflash: Sonic is no longer relevant to the industry.

Too late. BioWare is making that, so it won't be nearly as crappy as Sonic's recent games. But it isn't a true Sonic game, it's a Bioware RPG with Sonic's face on it.

Better yet, they should make a Sonic game where you play as a realistic hedgehog. That could put a fresh new spin on the series.

Whenever a big name franchise gets a Nintendo-only game, it ends up full of massive fail. RE4 was kind of an exception, as was Tales of Symphonia. But you know what happens when they accidentally make a good Nintendo exclusive title?

Come on; they already gave Shadow a gun, this is a step in the right direction, eh? Besides, it's not like they havn't already killed Sonic, is it? How bad could it be (in comparison)?

So what is it everyone's whining about? So far I'm just seeing people b'awwing over him having a sword. Yes the game will suck, but we should know this by now instead of pretending to be outraged and shocked.
