The Conduit heats up
IGN: Pre-E3 2008: The Conduit Update
Make sure to check the video there, it's pretty exciting to see. High Voltage wasn't kidding when they said they were going for a genuinely good-looking Wii game. Based on the vid, it's coming close to matching Prime 3, and there's still anywhere from six to nine months left of development for this title. And an E3 demo this year! But just go ahead and read the interview to find out everything else. The officials from HV are awesome in these kind of things, they talk more like real gamers than businessmen. This game may just be able to go the distance. |

I could care less about this game, actually. Unless it ends up getting nines all across the board, I won't be investing in it.

If you read stuff with their Execs, they're really not fond of Nintendo Wifi on its own. They've knocked it quite a few times (which is funny as hell), and it's apparent that they're bent on doing something like Mario Kart Wii or better. I hope it knocks some sense into Nintendo. If one of their biggest and most enthusiastic supporters dislikes their online service as it is right now, they need to make some changes. |

It won't. Nintendo has never been all that responsive to the fans. They need to make changes, but it's not going to happen.

Re: The Conduit heats up
Eh doesn't look that great. Visually wise for the Wii it looks nice but other than that it looks like it'll be mediocre. Don't understand the hype around this. :/

Re: The Conduit heats up
^ Because a third party is making a mainstream title for the hardcore and actually putting effort into it. That's why Wii owners are interested.

It's silly, really. A game doesn't need to be the best in order to warrant playtime. |

The Darkness and F.E.A.R. are both very good games in their own right, but they both have really, really bad online multiplayer. The single player in both games are also completely different than Halo 3 and CoD4. F.E.A.R and The Darkness are strictly singe player (Unless you want to play some garbage multiplayer), while Halo 3 and CoD4 are almost all multiplayer. Now, this game that you guys are getting all hyped about is being advertised as an online shooter, like the Wii's answer to Halo, but we all know it won't be as good. You get what I'm saying? F.E.A.R separates itself from most FPS games by being scary, while The Darkness is worth buying for the story/characters. The Conduit is just another online shooter with a crappy campaign, there is no reason to buy it. |

Re: The Conduit heats up
who said anything about surpassing? just because it doesn't have online as good as your precious call of duty or halo doesn't mean that its not fun and should be ignored.
