Captain Rainbow - First Look Trailer - Wipido

New Nintendo series that's a tribute to Kamen Rider awesome. Have no clue what the game is about gameplay wise though.

I watched the trailer, and I do enjoy its goofiness. It's very odd in a Wario Ware sense, and I welcome that. I'm excited to see more on this game.

And then there's Birdo. Does that mean we can expect more Nintendo characters as well?

Very interesting indeed. It's been awhile since a major Nintendo console franchise. Plus, who couldn't like Birdo's manvoice?

Though they might want to change the title if it's released here. It can have negative connotations in America. . .

Uhh...what the hell did I just watch?

Don't expect it to ever be localised.


It's probably being developed by the Chibi Robo team by the way.

I doubt this will come out in N.A or the PAL region.

i don't get the concept. and the name should definitely be changed. imagine standing in line to buy that

the graphics are really cool though.

Some information on the game:

- Nick loves ‘loud’ clothing
- Captain Rainbow uses a yo-yo in his finishing move
- Captain Rainbow is a TV show mascot, and kids aren’t tuning into the program.
- Nick travels to Mimin Island, a place where dreams are said to come true
- instead of Nick’s dreams being granted, Captain Rainbow must grant the wishes of other island inhabitants
- search the island for people to help
- the island is filled with classic Nintendo characters in-need of help (Birdo, NES Golf character, and many more)
- Nick is helped by Hikari, from the Japan-only adventure game Shin Onigashima

When I saw this yesterday, I thought it was just another crazy Japanese game. Then I found out that it featured a bunch of Nintendo characters in a cross over, and my interest skyrocketed. I'm keeping an eye on this. We'll see how it turns out.

I just saw the trailer now. It looks like a decent game, the information Hazz gave makes me think how this game will turn out.

But I'm always up for weird and crazy ideas. I hope this is good (and if so, is localized).
