E3 2008 - The Official Thread of Sheer Joy!

It is over, and no super excellent game, besides Pikmin, is out.

So E3 was a good bust.

Well, Pikmin is confirmed. That's something. So we have Kid Icarus and Pikmin in the eventual works.

Nintendo could have turned it around, big time. 4 Wii=4Wii games, right? WRONG. All in all, E3 '08=FAIL. Now I'm leaving, seeing as how I've amassed 100+ posts in 4 days ;P

Well, there's always later. E3 doesn't have to be the end-all place for release info. It also isn't the end of the world when a company has a bad E3 (it's not like it's the first time it happened). Ah, what can you do but wait and see?

Also, a tidbit I just picked up is that apparently The Conduit can support WiiSpeak and 16 players, for those who care. That's kinda cool.

I fail to understand why there is disappointment and disbelief in these posts. Nintendo is a hack company, and that's been known for years.

Well I looked at the vids IGN had put up and I got to say. The game doesn't look like anything that would blow me away graphically but since its so early in it's development stage I'm pretty impressed on how it looks. I mean it's pretty nice looking right now and they have like a year to polish it up even more which I think thye plan to. And even if it ends up not looking the best you still can play 16 online and use the Wiispeak and that right there makes me want the game.

In other words, you decided to make Pikmin.

As of yet it looks like we're going to get nothing really worth while for the next two years. From third parties there is Tales and Star Wars. But that's it, or?

Yup, all three companies suck.

There are some more third party games coming out this year that look good, so that might help Nintendo fans keep busy while they wait for the major Nintendo game.

I hardly think that's a locigal conclusion to draw simply because they didn't have a good E3. We won't know what's really going to happen until it happens. I can't imagine that they don't know how much they're aggrivating their longtime fans (I'm sure even Reggie got it through his thick skull after that "how can you feel left out?" comment). I just can't imagine that all of their teams are sitting around doing nothing. It doesn't take all of those people to make Wii Sports.

Is there still a chance they will announce a game today? Like Star Fox.

It happened with the Gamecube. I think at one point it sat around without a single new (good) game for over a year.
