Gameboy is THE best handheld system, Playstation Prtable poses a threat to it but I don't beleive a large one. Gameboy has been arond longer and has a ver, very, large library of games. This could also get into how graphics don't make the game but meh...
Ah, a nice, biased thread title to an even more useless poll.
Really, there isn't much use in this at all. Just asking us to say which is better isn't going to provide any help to you at all. You could come up with a much better article yourself. I mean, considering that it's all opinion, anyway, there's nothing for you to really research at all.
Well if you just played a N-Gage you would know why it sucks. You have to take the batteries out to change the game. How stupid is that. There have been a number of hand held systems but they all have been flops. The N-Gage is too hard to use and well pointless. I donít understand how from a marketing point of view they even had the idea that it could do something big. The gameboy has already reached to many people. Having a gameboy is like having a tv. Everyone has one. It's a no brainier. No one ask you "Do you have a gameboy?" because its just a common thing that everyone has such as a tv. No one ever asks you "Do you have a tv?" The only thing on the market that could raise a finger to the gameboy was the Game Gear. The Dreamcast wasnít the first system to take the plunge. Dreamcast plunge was Segaís 2nd trip down that street. The Game Gear was also way ahead of its time, but the huge shadow of gameboy at the time (around that time was the huge rise of gameboy to that state of common item I spoke about) that the Game Gear never stood a chance. The N-Gage however is not like the Game Gear. The N-Gage made it past the first obstacle and that is getting its name out there. People know what it is. Thatís as far as its going to get. I have to give it some credit because that is the hardest step to take. Go ahead name some other hand held systems besides the three mentioned? Names of other hand held systems arenít common knowledge because they didnít even make past that first obstacle. The gameboy has one problem. That is the PSP. It is still to hard to tell at this point if it is really a huge threat at this time because people thought the Game Gear was a huge threat, but as we all know it wasnít. But things are different this time around. I know I will never play anything besides a Nintendo system because I know they are the best.
Uh. As much as I love Nintendo and never would play anything else I have to point out that the SP was a gimmick. They could of made the screen light up the first time around they just didnt so everyone would do what most people did and end up buying both.
Neo Geo Pocket Colour, from what I heard it was good, but, a little on the expensive side.
You and I would both be the "other" voters then, I suppose?
There've always been better portable consoles. They've just always cost more. Nintendo's games are definitely a plus, but the lacking quality has always put me off. These days I find myself craving an old Turbografx Express, and I found myself eyeing a Neo Geo Pocket Color at a local dealer the other day... I could go for more portable SNK goodness.
The one plus is that they tend to burn very brightly with a select few, do poorly in North America, and then end up in the discount shelves for people such as myself to enjoy.
