Sonic the Hedgehog

One of the best games ever. I know the classics, and the new ones too.
I expecially like the original, and Sonic for the PS3. I thought it was cool to play Silver on PS3 Sonic.

What did you like about the games, hate, or Talking about stuff like favorite character, your high scores, etc.

I like the ones for the old sega game gear

That series has been a total downfall ever since the next gen consoles were created. The games (Sonic Series) have been awful.

And on SSBB, I have fun to make 3 sonics on level one and then massacre them.

The games are fun, but we have terrible Sonics like Sonic GBA and Sonic 2006.

Sonic Heroes and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 are firmly planted on my favorite games of all-time list. ^_^

Never been a fan of any of the games, 2D or 3D. The series is just not fun for me.

My love for the series is kinda up and down-ish. Sonic 1, 2, 3, I adore. Part 2 in particular. I love the stages, the music, Super Sonic! (though I can't stand listening to his theme song for every stage you get him [hence having to do that little *pause* thingie to get rid of the song and leave it to the stage's original song)]. I'm a big fan of Blue Sphere and Mean Bean Machine. However, I don't like Spinball, that 3D Flickie Island or something, and none of the newer games - Adventure whatever 1, 2 and that Secret Rings. Bleh.

Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite Sonic, and one of my favorite games ever.

Sonic went down the tubes. His original games are fun, but the new ones are crap in my opinion.

I loved the original games with a passion, and I also love Mean Bean Machine. I need to get the Sonic Mega Collection on PS2 so I can play them over again... Or manage to find me a Sega Genesis with those four games.

I will have to agree there. I used to play it every chance I got. I now love mostly Sonic 2. But the others do still have there moments.

Is this another thread where I can spit on Sonic Team for torturing my childhood hero? Awesome!

Sonic 2 will forever be the best Sonic game IMO. Mostly because it was my first video game ever. So great!

But Sonic games have sucked for a long time now. Please bring back the old ways, and don't make it a game like Sonic Rush where you just pressed one button.

Sonic CD was my first . . . but I was far too much of a newb to comprehend it all, and then Sonic and Sonic 2 came out, still too much of a nub. But a heck of a lot easier! XD
The only thing I like about Sonic CD, now, is the opening and ending theme. Sonic 2? Everything. =3

If you have a Gamecube, I highly suggest you get the Sonic Mega Collection for that console instead. The PS2 has long loading times + it's extremely glitchy, especially on Sonic 2. When you do the spin attack, it makes this very high-pitched glitchy sound. (I have both GCN and PS2 versions)

Sonic the Hedgehog is good, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is overrated, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is great, Sonic & Knuckles is amazing, Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the definitive Sonic game.

I couldn't have worded this any better. How refreshing that someone else doesn't rate Sonic 2 as the top 2D Sonic title.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles is a stunning title. It featured updated graphics, new power ups, gorgeous levels, classic music throughout and of course, the ability to choose your character, complete with differing stages/endings. On top of all that, there were more Chaos Emeralds than you could shake a stick at. I couldn't believe that after collecting them all, the amount was suddenly doubled--with Mega Emeralds. At least Hyper Sonic was a fitting reward after the huge task of collecting them all.
