I dabble a little bit in GH3. I can't beat Lou on expert but you know he is hard as ****.

I've seen the trailers for it, and it looks sort of lame (ROCK ON FOR STAR POWER)

There is GH Aerosmith (spelling?) and GH4 coming out this fall.

It is a really good video game one of the best ever I say. You can se the wirdest GH vid on youtube they're so funny. I want on tour for my DS I'l drive my family mad with it on road trips

It's because a game called Rock Band exists.

Guitar Hero 2 is better than Rock Band. But ROck Band is better than GH3. Harmonix's touch is magic; Neversoft can't begin to do justice to the series.

So unless we want to talk about 2, I vote we turn this into a Rock Band/GH 2 thread

I entered a GH3 turnament that was being held at my local mall (sponsored by the Game Stop there). I placed 23rd out of 242 contestants with a 96% on Cliffs of Dover on expert. I didn't win anything, but I still think its cool that I placed near the top.

Though Rock Band is the better title, I still prefer Guitar Hero 3. I just like the songs better, and it seemed a lot more difficult, especially in comparison to other GHs.

But I don't think anything will ever top Guitar Hero 2. The track list is nearly perfect.

I can have fun with rock band, but usually only with the drums. Yes I know the chords or whatever in GH3 don't seem right, but it is still more challenging, and that is the way I like it.


Rock band pwns in songs though, because they get more songs for download every week (right?). Just all the songs to choose from is amazing. For right now though, I still prefer GH3.

i only enjoy rock band as a party game. for solo i find GH to be much better.

what bothers me is people calling GH4 a rock band ripoff. RB ripped off GH first. and GH stole the concept from other music games.

Not anymore, sorry. Guitar Hero lost it's quality very quick.

It's not that the game isn't very good or anything. That's just what happens when a single franchise gets 5 titles over the course of 3 years.(I, II, III, Rock the 80's, Aerosmith) Not to mention, we've got 3 more titles already being plastered over the internet.(IV, On Tour, World Tour)

Seriously, this once-good franchise is already stale, and it only took Harmonix 3 years to make it happen. That's gotta be some kind of record.

I would like to think that Devil Went Down To Georgia is harder than Dragonforce's ****ty ass song.

Although that remix is pretty **** too.

I'm the only person (I think) who watched that youtube video jamin put up. Why? Cause it was a booby trap video. You know the one with a face screaming?

But on topic, Guitar hero is good, but I think it gets repetitive at times. So I played it for about 10 hours then I haven't played in over 3 months.

Rock Band, meh, it looks an awful lot like guitar hero to me. And I read in Game Informer that guitar hero's upcoming drums are a lot better than rock band's.

No, it took Red Octane 3 years to make it happen. Harmonix's last Guitar Hero game was Rock the 80's. They've moved on to making Rock Band. That said, Rock Band is a better game than GH3. GH3's tracklist was awful.

im fairly certain guitar hero IV is guitar hero world tour. its the official name.

but yeah. guitar hero has become pretty low quality. especialy on the wii.
