Beyond Good and Evil 2

Ubisoft released a teaser trailer today of the sequel to Beyond Good and Evil.

YouTube - Beyond Good & Evil 2 Trailer Ubidays

I can't believe this is finally happening, after all this time waiting...it's been friggin' 5 whole years since the original!

From what we can see of Jade in the teaser (That's definetley her sitting under the parasol on the trunk of the car) she's looking lovely as ever. Glad to see Pey'j has kept his redneck personality intact. I got chills seeing the D-53 they picked up in the mines during the first game on the ground.

I'm wondering why they're in a desert, though. Did Hillys' ocean dry up? is this is a different part of the planet? Are they on another planet entirely?

How will this relate to Jade's relationship with the DomZ? What exactly happened to Pey'j at the end of the credits in the first one, and how will it play a part in this game? Are the Alpha Sections still around?

Why are they using this new hovercraft instead of Jade's old one?

Will we see more Rastafarian Rhinos?

Good Lord, I've got so many questions in my head that need to be answered! let's hope they release more footage soon!

Great news. I just hope this one is a little (lot?) longer, if possible. I honestly thought they scrapped the idea of making a new one due to the horrible sales of the original, so I'm liking that it's officially being made.

Well, apparently, the upper management of Ubisoft never wanted to make a sequel, but when the Rayman creator got pissed that the latest installment of his Rayman franchise, well, had NOTHING to do with Rayman, I guess the company gave him free ride to make whatever project he wanted next, which happened to be BG&E2. That's straight from the rumor mill though, I really don't quite believe it myself, to be honest.

But yeah, the trailer seems to be just a fancy way of saying "Hey, there's a new Beyond Good and Evil in the works!", I'd be surprised if it ends up having any relevance to the finished game at all. I wasn't thrilled with BG&E myself, but they really have a chance to improve with a sequel. I won't be passing this one up.

I've actually only just started to play the first one, so news that there's a sequel is great. I'm loving what I've seen so far, my only disappointment is that I don't have a 360 yet to get the sequel.

Glad to know there are still others trying this game out. You won't be dissapointed, BG&E is a fantastic masterpiece, and it's great that it's finally getting a sequel after all.

The game looks good. Really good for a Wii game! I really need to play Beyong Good and Evil someday.

The sequel has only been announced for the 360 and the ps3. The trailer is showing off the in-game engine-as you can tell, the Wii, while a great console in my opinion, can't do that sort of graphics.

Re: Beyond Good and Evil 2

I have never played the first one. I forgot all about it but remember hearing great things about it. Its cheap online to buy, I'm going to check the store tomorrow (I'll be going to the store close by) and if its the same price or close I'll buy it there. If not I'll order it tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me about this game.

Re: Beyond Good and Evil 2

A sequel to the game with characters that acted believably human, and not like the usual pieces of cardboard in videogames? Cool! The gameplay and music were great, too.

Be less excited.

Re: Beyond Good and Evil 2

Well, as long as it remains true to the original in terms of gameplay style, character, art, and story, I'll be fine.

Agreed.
I never listen to reviewers anyways, they're all biased in their own way, no matter how hard they try.
Also, if it remains the same to the originals, it doesn't matter. I hope they give Jade some pretty wicked combos though!
