The Conduit

For the wii, tis game looks graphically amazing:

Not much is known about this game other than that it's set in Future Wahington DC and you're a secret service agent trying expose a government coverup. I have to go now. Discuss, please.

I wonder what the controls are like. I have to set them myself because Im really pick like that.

Also, the last conversation confirms multiplayer? Seems like it to me.

^What? How? EDIT:Oh, you mean the whole "Deathmatch has been authorised" thing. Yeah, that probably confirms multiplayer, but not for certain.

Im picky about the controls of First person shooters
most of them I have no problem with its mostly the aiming control that gets me and a lot of games have opyions for that ind of thing.

It's comparable to halflife two. How can the wii manage this?

That's what I meant, yes. And although it's not for certain, they'd be pretty stupid to leave multiplayer out. I'm expecting some kind of online capabilities.

It really doesn't look that good. I don't understand what all the hype is about.

Maybe comparable to HL2 running in 640x400 resolution with no AA on medium to low settings, but hardly comparable to HL2 otherwise, even though it is starting to look dated. Compare that screenshot with this. It is from Lost Coast, which is a HL2 add-on. Not even close.

Overall the Conduit looks pretty good graphically, but the weapon models are bad, and the textures are sub par. Lighting seems to be the games strong point, although it still doesn't even look as good as BLACK for the xbox even though the Wii should theoretically be able to outdue that game.

Actually you can get those kind of graphics on an XBox back into 2003. They're not that special. Great compared to the Wii's games but that's about it.

they are definitely good but not much different from MP3 at this point. however it is definitely not comparable to half life 2. and i hope they reveal some more varied environments soon. looks a little drab to me. the story also seems incredibly cliched. not that it wont be good, it probably will be.

and they dont look that great because the game is nowhere near finished. give it time.

Well, I can't call you a "Halflife 2 fanboy", because I love Hl2, but I still belive the screenshot I posted was, for the most part (with seemingly slightly less smooth textures) on par with HL2, at it's best, and as graphically good as whatever that 'BLACK' game was.

The first time I saw a game with graphics like that was in 2004, when HL2 was released. HL2 still has very good graphics, and as far as I know, there was NOTHING that could compete with it back then.

No, the textures have no detail, there's no AA etc.
