My personal video game Idea (will face constructive critisizm, as well as ideas

Okay, in my game (temporarily dubbed "project reaper"),you play as the grim reaper. But, this reper is different from any grim reaper youve EVER seen. in my game, he is a human (OMG NO WAY). And, he is part of a society of humans and supernatural beings (ghosts, good demons, the usual) that is ruled by Lucifer, whom you may have guessed by now to be the devil. youre correct. Anyways, through a turn of events, Lucifer tricks our (sort of) hero into wearing a mask that turns him into a half demon. now, i know what youre saying: "THIS IS A BLEACH RIPOFF!" No, it is not. the mask, known as the mask of cursed souls, makes the reaper turn semi-evil. In order to keep this evil in check, he must destroy the one who gave him the mask.(aka LUCIFER!) It spreads acroos several realms, and you even make an ally along the way. Her name is jade, and shes kind of like a samurai/assassin sort of person. She hold a grudge against Lucifer for Killing her team of fellow assassins, and wants to avenge their deaths. In the game, you get new scythes along the way, such as the adamant scythe, which, as the name implies, launches diamond projectiles at enemies and saps health from them. Theres also an array of abilities you learn, such as a vortex that sucks up enemies and is caused by the spinning of your scythe. you can also summon little helpers, such as warrior imps or skeletons. About halfway through the game, after defeating lucifer the first time, the mask becomes self aware, realizing you want to get rid of it. it refuses, and turns into a full face mask (only covers 50% of the reapers face before then.). you then become a full demon, and are then able to learn new abilities. you also get to use lucifers scythe, and you learn new scythe powers. Lucifer, who is revived, Becomes a gigantic Demon (the scythe suppressed his demonic nature). then he wants revenge on you, and hires an assassin to kill you (this assassin was part of jades assassin team, and was revived by lucifer). I havent designed everything yet, and I hope that I get a chance to make this game. post your opinions, whether they be rude (not too rude) or kind. Also, suggestions for a name will be accepted as well

Ick, it sounds like an abrupt ripoff. Please put some forethought into your ideas, and if they AREN'T original, either rework them into a creative yet not terrible way, or completly throw out the idea.

Well from what I was able to glean from your HUEG WALL OF BADLY PUNCTUATED TEXT, it sounds like an ill-conceived patchwork of ideas ripped off from whatever animes or video games happened to float through your mind. Particularly unimpressive is the complete lack of any plans for game mechanics--hell, I can't even tell what kind of game this is supposed to be. A fighting game? An RPG? Maybe a Zelda clone? I wouldn't be surprised if you yourself didn't know, considering how little thought appears to have gone into this.

Try harder, and maybe someone will consider taking you seriously.

From what I can tell, you just loaded the shredded scripts of every hack'n'slash game ever made into a canon, shot it off, and then sent some guy to pick up the pieces and make a plot out of it. You also need more than just a story to make a game. How about gameplay?

Greatest voice acting EVER. There is no debating this.

Too bad the other game as described sounds like a gigantic, throbbing cliché. Frankly, it needs a better premise.

There is a little know B-movie out there from Full Moon Studios called Dark Angel: The Ascent. Watch it. It may not be the greatest thing ever put on celluloid, but it has a very unique concept for a film of it's nature. I honestly think something along these lines might make a good premise for a game as well if handled correctly.

But I'm tired of being helpful today. So blow off.

Um...i thought of this about 3 years ago. As for the combat, a friend of mine and I came up with the premise of a finishing attack that lets the player hack limbs off of enemies. the interesting part: The PLAYER decides what to attack by means of a grid point system. We also came up with a multiplayer addition, both competative and co-op.

Today:
Came up with something new ou have probably never seen before: your look effecting battle by means of the Fear meter. the fear meter raises when you make the reaper look more and more scary (custom reaper robes, armor, etc.) I also came up with a custom scythe mode, with which you can create custom scythes with parts you find along the games progression. depending on how you make your scythes will also affect your fear meter. the fear meters role in battle is that the higher it is, the weaker your enemies get.
