Age of Conan problem.

I ordered Age of Conan the 20th of may.
Two days later the 22th may I got the game, I installed it, updated it, registered an account for the game.
Everything works well until I start the game, the password does not work.
I tried to change the password for about 10times now but without success.
All my ports are open, the game is not blocked by any firewall, and I am admin of this computer.
I really cannot understand why it is not working.

I heard rumors that all servers are down untill 23th may.
Could that be the reason it does not work?
I really do not understand how that could hinder my game to verify my password, should not I atleast be able so see all the servers?

I appreciate any kind help since I have been waiting for this game for over 2 years now, and when I finally have it, it does not work.
