Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes

YES!!! They've announced a new game for the "Capcom vs." series!(i.e. Capcom vs. SNK, Marvel vs. Capcom, etc.)



Say hello to "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom". Tatsunoko is the anime company primarily responsible for such series as Evangelion, Speed Racer, Gatchaman, Samurai Pizza Cats, Robotech, and Tekkaman.

If it retains the playability of Capcom vs SNK 2, I'll be in love with this game.

That aside it's really really great to see that Capcom haven't completely given up on fighting games, now all we need is capcom vs marvel 3 : \.

Uh...whoa? Looks like a big one, this.

My god, the possibility of playable Pizza Cats alone makes me feel all giddy inside, and that's just the beginning. I haven't played any Capcom vs. games since the Dreamcast days, but if this one stacks up to those, I'm sold.

I think we've all had that dream at one point or another.

Near all the places I'm reading about this at claim it is 2.5D--with 3D characters on detailed 2D backgrounds. I'd prefer new, nicely detailed hand drawn sprites, but this could work out just fine.

I wonder how long after SF IV this will be released.

Fighting mechanics remind me more of MVC, 'especially with the 2 on 2 and the super jumps.

Hrm, I was looking forward to more of a serious fighting approach similar with Capcom vs SNK 2.

Oh well, bring on SSFIITHD:Remix, King of Fighters XII and Street Fighter IV :>
