Re: Mario or Luigi II

Yeah, and I've heard in many places that OoT and Halo were overrated. I can't say anything about Halo, because I haven't played it, but I have played and beaten OoT a number of times and I agree with those who say it's overrated.

As for Brawl and Melee, I agree with high scores for those. Going back to Luigi's Mansion, I score it high, because I find many aspects of the game to be interesting and very well done. It stands now as my favorite GC game with Melee following in second, and you can't change that.

Re: Mario or Luigi II

OOT (until just recently beaten by GTA IV), was still the best video game ever made. It's still personal opinion of course. If you play it too much of course your going to get sick of it.

Halo I can understand being overrated, but OOT is so old... and yet, still good. Just like Diablo and StarCraft. They are like 8 and 10 years old and yet still being sold like hotcakes for full price.

I'd still like to see a sequel of it one day. About Luigi, I thought he was funny in Mario Kart 64 and Mario Party 2 for some reason. I dunno why, but everything he does is just hilarious. =P

Btw, mind if I befriend you? So far I've only got one friend on my list, lol.

Re: Mario or Luigi II

Luigi's Mansion was a launch title.

I don't recall many AAA titles being available on launch, sure, some decent but not overly great games, but nothing compared to further down the lifespan of a console.

I don't want this thread to die. D:

Anyway, it's still my favorite GC game, Yami. Whether or not a game was a launch title matters none to me.

Ranil, I think you should change your CR to "Yay for me! Luigi!"

"I'm-a Luigi, Number one" was a better quote.

Fixed.

I agree. Luigi was awesome in Mario Kart 64. Ironically, and with no real reason, I had that stuck in my head the past coupld days.

Bah. Toad was the best in that game, but he sucked in all the others.

He got all the good items.

Actually, I was thinking about changing it to something Luigi-specific, not something he AND Mario say.

EDIT: There, I changed my CR to a Luigi specific quote. It's from MK Double Dash, I believe. I think this one is cute, lol.

Re: Mario or Luigi II

Where'd Luigi say that one? I've read somewhere about him calling himself that funny nickname Weegi, but I don't know where he did it.

I like calling both Mario Bros. Little Red Cap and Weegi. XD

Ah. Now I want that game even more. XD

I still think him saying "Meegi" to spoof "me" and "Weegi" is cute, though. :3

Re: Mario or Luigi II

He's sorta weird, yeah, but in a funny way. Even Mario can be weird at times, like falling asleep while standing in SPM.

But Luigi is way funnier.

Luigi is hilariously funny, yes. Now I like him for his tremendous amount of courage too. I mean really, he was brave enough to go in a haunted mansion full of his greatest fear to save his brother, despite acting scared at certain parts of the game.

Plus, he kicks ass in SPM. "Oh no! I don't give my name to Scoundrels! Watch as Luigi punishes you for your bad deeds!" XD
Wait, Mario's worse because he no longer has Mario Tornado and has the FLUDD instead? Mario got a lot better. Mario tornado wasn't that good in Melee, anyways. Now he has a much better Dair. Plus, Mario was better than Luigi in Melee, he could combo much better and wasn't so slow in the air.

Mario: 3
Luigi: 5

Nintendo should make more games with Luigi as the star because I don't think they realized the amount of Luigi fans there are.
The FLUDD is actually kind of useful. If a character off the stage uses up-special, and you FLUDD them, it'll knock them back and they can't recover. The FLUDD is still bad, but one bad move does not make a character horrible. Mario can combo just as good as he can in Melee, which is good because comboing is harder to now. And he can kill much better with his improved smashes and great edgeguarding.

Anyways, I like Mario better. Luigi's just the sidekick who says funny things, while Mario is actually brave enough to save a damsel kidnapped by a monster. Plus without Mario, gaming would not be what it is today.

Re: Mario or Luigi II

Mario still has his tornado move, but is now an air down A. I've adapted to that quite nicely and now enjoy using him more than ever.

Oh no, I like a Mario quite a bit, I just like Luigi a little bit more. Mario's awesome, and at one point I knew most of the games he was in (not anymore, there's too many). I just think Luigi is a little cooler with the whole Mama Luigi and 'Lotsa Spaghetti' line. Then, I realized he was actually pretty funny in the canonical games, not just the cartoon and CD-i. Since I don't have Brawl and you do (I've only played it at a friend's house) I'll take your word for it.
