Luigi is hilariously funny, yes. Now I like him for his tremendous amount of courage too. I mean really, he was brave enough to go in a haunted mansion full of his greatest fear to save his brother, despite acting scared at certain parts of the game.
Plus, he kicks ass in SPM. "Oh no! I don't give my name to Scoundrels! Watch as Luigi punishes you for your bad deeds!" XD |
Wait, Mario's worse because he no longer has Mario Tornado and has the FLUDD instead? Mario got a lot better. Mario tornado wasn't that good in Melee, anyways. Now he has a much better Dair. Plus, Mario was better than Luigi in Melee, he could combo much better and wasn't so slow in the air.

Mario: 3
Luigi: 5
Nintendo should make more games with Luigi as the star because I don't think they realized the amount of Luigi fans there are. |
The FLUDD is actually kind of useful. If a character off the stage uses up-special, and you FLUDD them, it'll knock them back and they can't recover. The FLUDD is still bad, but one bad move does not make a character horrible. Mario can combo just as good as he can in Melee, which is good because comboing is harder to now. And he can kill much better with his improved smashes and great edgeguarding.
Anyways, I like Mario better. Luigi's just the sidekick who says funny things, while Mario is actually brave enough to save a damsel kidnapped by a monster. Plus without Mario, gaming would not be what it is today.
