Thanks to Dr. Zaius for the new scans. I'd still get the MGS4 even if the critics were to slate it, and although I would never expect to see damning reviews for Metal Gear, it's always reassuring to know that people are responding well to the game.

I've never played Metal Gear Solid.
But this game is making me buy a PS3.

What better way to start playing PS3?
I would suggest that you have a look through one of the Metal Gear backstory articles that are doing the rounds at the moment. This game is supposed to bring the Metal Gear story arc to a close, and I think that you'd get more from the game if you went in with a little background on the characters.
There are quite a few Metal Gear games going back yeears and on loads of consoles, so I don't think that the people behind Metal Gear Solid 4 are going to expect people to know the entire backstory. I'm sure that you'd be able to play through the game and have a great time even if you started completely blind. On the first page I think I mentioned the game having flash backs to fill newbies in, so they must be conscious that for many people, this is going to be their first game.
Hope to see you on Metal Gear Online as well.

You will find out what "La-li-lu-le-lo" means.

Hurray! xDDD
I'm trying to get through those videos that you linked to Mr. W - I didn't realise that Portable Ops was so story driven. I thought it was just a collection of individual missions, kind of like the VR ones on the PS1 or something.
Hmm, I don't know if I could even finish one of the PSP games though. From what I've seen of them, it all seems a little claustrophobic, and your view doesn't seem to be too forgiving. Hopefully I'll have the chance to play it for myself and find out though. I'd like to get a PSP at some point, even if it's just to play PS1 games on it. Oh, and watch the digital Metal Gear Solid comic book.
It's a nice find though, thanks for sharing it.
