It looks like theres going to be a follow up to D/P!

What do you think? And what would you like to see included as a new feature?

Of course there will be a D/P follow up, every generation has one ^_^ I heard they wrre calling it Opal, or something, though.

I think there will be an expansion thing for D/P, but I don't think it will be called Platinum. Platinum sounds like a huge thing, so they will probably keep that for the last game or something. Opal is probably what it will be called tho.

Dont really know, they seemed to be doing alright a year or so ago, don't know whats happened. Look for yourself and judge.

They seem to be adding Wi-Fi to a few more things as well (like the Underground).

What exactly do you do in the Battle Frontier? How different is it from D/P's Battle Tower? (3rd generation was the gen I skipped out on for this series, as it happens.)

It's 99% likely to be called Platinum. Serebii posted a scan of Coro-Coro magazine and the writing Japanese says Pokemon Platina (platinum) on the top. Looks like Lucas will get a new outfit (still didn't get rid of the beret). I wonder if Dawn will get an update too? I was hoping for a remake but It sounds like the Ds will hake three more years so there's still hope.

Opal? That name makes sense, but I still think Zircon is the best suiting name if the main Legendary will be Giratina. Oh well, if the name is Opal, the name is Opal. Gotta live with it.

I think a magazine scan with the words Pokemon Platinum on it, with screenshots to go with it is enough confirmation. Granted, it's in Japanese; but I can read it and it definitely says nothing about Opal. That was a fan rumour going around for a long time.

Why does zircon fit again? Opal I understand, maybe Platinum, but Zircon, It's kind of obscure. Plus, I have an A average in Chemistry and I've never heard of it until I looked it up, the name would just confuse children.

Because Zircon goes with Giratina. It's a gemstone like Diamond and Pearl, whereas Opal is not. Plus, Zircon's colors match Giratina's as well. That's why it fits. Many say Opal fits because its other name is Girasol, and it begins with the same letters as Giratina, but it doesn't have to be like that. Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald don't start with the same letters as their Legendary Pokemon, so there.

It makes perfect sense in Japanese. The Japanese word for platinum is platina in which it seems Giratina's name to be a pun of in vein of Dialga and Palkia being a pun of diamond and pearl.

In Japanese Giratina = Giratina while Platinum = Puratina.

Opal is a gemstone, in fact its the birthstone of October. Zircon has absolutely no connection with Giratina. Girasol is what Giratina is named after just like Dialga is named after Diamond and Palkia is named after pearl. Platinum also makes sense becuase Giratina sounds like platina the Japanese word for Platinum. Giratina appears to have Platinum armor and Opal spikes on it's wings so both names fit. Listen you two stop insulting eachother and actually talk about Pokemon Platinum/Opal. If you want to insult eachother do it by PM. Anyway I heard Volkner might be replaced. Do you think it should be by Janine or a completely new charecter?
