Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

I used to have a Giratina, but I traded it for a Dragonair, but then I got another one online

Oh yeah, I hope Arceus, Shaymin, Darkrai, etc. will be added on the National Pokedex. How come they aren't included in it already? :/
They are my friend traded me his arceus and now I can see the spots where they well be if I ever get them.

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

Of course they are in the game, but they aren't listed in my National Pokedex guide. I was referring to that.

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

I know, all the evolutions of older pokemon weren't in the sinnoh dex for some reason either

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

I was talking about the National 'dex. The reason why Rhyperior, Magmortar, etc. aren't in the Sinnoh dex is because Electabuzz, Rhyhorn, Rhydon, etc. aren't there.

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

Ah, of course...

I would also like to see a slight increase in the chance of encountering a shiny

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

Yeah, the only time I encountered a shiny in any Pokemon game was near the beginning of Sapphire. It was a shiny Nincada. Since I didn't want a Nincada, I didn't capture it. I don't really see the point of shinies anyway.

Oh, you shouldn't double post, btw. There's an edit button.

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

This is what I was waiting for.

It was obvious it would be a Giritina based game. In fact, most ZU members thought Giritina would be the star of the game.

If you haven't seen:

That's Darkrai's new form.

That is the pillar area. Notive the Palkia AND Dialga there. The dark is Giritina.

For those who really don't believe it, this is a picture of a battle with Giritina, level 47.

The new form is called "Dimensional Travel Form." It's the form Giritina takes when traveling from dimensions to other dimensions.

I personally like the level degrade. You can train your Pokemon to a higher standard.

But Darkrai and Arceus are awesome. They're definitely worthy of the title of 'Uber', trust me.
Shaymin "Exists" in Japan, Shaymin has been officially revealed for the 11th movie.

It's Giratina. Thanks for posting these on the thead I'm sure not everyone wants to check the link. I hope these Dialga and Palkia appearences in Platinum don't mean we'll get a rehash of the Emerald Plot. It wasn't bad but Game Freak has lost all origniality if it has to use the exact same plot again. I hope the final battle takes place in an alternate dimension. That would be epic.

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

Sorry, I was searching for a Darkrai image while posting.

Will edit.

Well, this one seems much better than D/P because it does have an new outfit. And you can catch Dialga and Palkia, on the same game. Too bad they aren't adding 7 more Pokemon.

I wonder if you can change Giritina's form by an item.

Game List:

Ruby.....\.../Fire Red...\................/Diamond\
............|>................|> Emerald>.............|Platinum> ???
Sapphire/...\Leaf Green/...............\Pearl...../

Top and Bottom = Original Set. Middle = Late additions.

I'm not sure if Emeral came out before FR and LG.

This doesn't include GB games.

Re: Pokemon - Platinum Version

Would've made more sense to me if Platinum had gone with Gold and Silver while Crystal had gone with Diamond and Pearl. After all, platinum is a metal, not a gemstone.

Anyway, I've never played Diamond & Pearl. The most recent pokémon game I've played is Ruby, but I got bored with it pretty quickly. It just wasn't particularly interesting. I loved Gold though, and RBY was pretty good too.

Yeah, 2nd Gen is still the best. D/P wasn't that brilliant.

No, Base stats. Those aren't the stats it has when you catch it, they're the basic numbers that its stats are calculated from, depending on its IVs, EVs and Nature. That's why every pokemon is unique - if you caught loads of Giratinas at once, not one of them would have exactly the same stats.
