I have Wild World. I love it, though I haven't played it for about a month.

I used to like Animal Crossing like a year ago but now I don't. It just gets to repeative. Animal Crossing for the GCN was much better than Wild World in my opinion.

I like both of them, except I wish that they had each person has a different house in WW.

I only have Animal Crossing. I sadly don't have a DS yet. I loved the first one though! I don't play much anymore, I got kinda bored of it.

There's also Animal Crossing Wii that might come out next year.

I was in Japan in '01, and I noticed the newspapers were talking about this N64 "communication game" called Doubutsu No Mori (Japanese for Animal Forest), which got good reviews from Famitsu. Bought it, loved it. I haven't read any Japanese since then, though, probably couldn't understand it now. But it's worth loads in America, I might sell it.

Hmm? Show me an official statement before I believe you. I have not found anything on this and I have heard nothing about a 2009 release.

They announced it, but provided little info, but I'm just guessing next year.

Well, in order to put a little more thought into this...

I loved the AC games, despite the fact that they do get boring after a while and there's little reason to play them after that.
For AC Wii, I hope they make the game closer to ACGC, not WW. The GC one just had an atmosphere that WW lacked, and also sported many cool little touches that furthered it (such as the villagers putting out windsocks in early May, and campers during the summer). WW wasn't anywhere near as interesting.

If they take the good from both the GC (camera angle, storage space, big town size, atmosphere, the villagers don't destory their houses, Animal Island, separate houses for each player) and WW (easy menu interaction, Wi-Fi, more customization, more furniture, more K.K. songs), and expand on it all, it'll be a great game. I just hope they ditch the log-rolling camera effect from WW.

I've got both the games, but find I tire quickly of them. There's something quite charming aout them, but not enough to hold my attention for more than a week or so. :/

If I had my DS online, I might find some more appeal.

I'm hoping the Wii version will be more interactive.

I've been "living" in my Animal Crossing(GC version) town for almost two years. I usually spend a couple of days per week there, doing errands and stuff.

I'm watching the movie on YouTube, when I get around to it. It's a Japanese sub, and it's pretty cute.

I bought AC:WW when I first got my DS a couple of years ago, and when I got my Gamecube I bought Animal Crossing for it. I loved them both, especially Wild World, but I sort of grew tired of them. I might try to get back into them soon. My sister still plays the Gamecube version every so often.

Going over to other peoples' towns was fun. If only my WiFi weren't so unreliable. :/

I saw the movie, for two reasons (those being that I wanted to see what AC was like in animation, and to get inspiration/ideas for an AC fan-series of animations of mine currently in development).

It doesn't have much of a "real" story (merely a lighthearted one, which is still good; I'm gonna assume it's aimed at kids), but it was fun to see AC depicted in a movie. Also, the ninja kid who changed outfits on every occasion was kinda funny. (I think his name's Yuu? I don't remember; I watched it raw, not subbed.)

As for AC's "growing tired"-ness, I think they have some real potential on Wii to work with to make the game stay fun longer. I hope they really try hard on this one.

I bought the GC version while I was on a skiing holiday in the U.S and bought it back home and loved it. Haven't played it in ages though I go on there from time to time. Tried Wild World and it just seemed quite dull compared to the GC version, not sure why but nyeh.
