Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

I've taken a holiday from Zelda and have been playing BK recently since it's been YEARS since I played it. I got it in the early 2000s sometime used. I think it's almost a very enjoyable game except the levels are too darn short.

After playing the sequal I wanted better levels as it's fun to explore and get lost. I really like the music such as Mumbo's Mountain and the variations of it. http://banjokazooie.wikia.com/wiki/I..._Mountain3.png

Example: MMountain's theme has xylophones and horns while underwater the instruments switch to harps,When you go to Conga the theme goes over to Timpani's with the deep boom boom sound.
http://banjokazooie.wikia.com/wiki/I..._Mountain5.png
http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console...s_mountain.mid (with all the variations) I do not own this song and it's own by the respective Authors and this is for entertainment puropses only.

and they NEVER recycle old songs unless it's in the form of a remix. They did it right in my opinon which I wish Zelda would do. If they did, The total count of music for TP would be at or more then double and you would want to play TP again just to hear all the variations of the main themes. OOT was before BK so I guess they couldn't have implemented that in.

More on the gameplay later as I have this eye pain that's been bugging me.

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

I love Banjo Kazooie XD. That was an awesome game. Yeah, the game was too short, but I still ended up spending a vast amount of time playing that game lol. Weird, you know that puzzle secret? Where you go in Banjo's house, stand on a certain spot on the rug, and look at the picture; then you should be able to do a series of jigsaw puzzles. Yeah, I found out about that years after I actually got the game >_>

It's been a long time since I last played. Was the next level supposed to be that ship?

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

Gameplay in response to zfttm64s question:
Technically you can open the levels in any order as long as you have enough jiggy's but I think Rusty Bucket Bay is next or it could be Freezeeazy Peak.

That's one thing I liked, If you get bored with one level you can do some jiggy hunting in another.
In the beginning you meet Bottles The Mole who gives you the option to train with him or go to Grunty's lair on your own. If you choose to do option B you can't ask him for help until the first level or he comes close to erasing your gamepak. (Yes, He actually says that when you pester him too much.)

The moves seem simple but are unique at the same time. You have the jump (banjo goes weeeee!) and your bear claw punch by standing still and pressing B. if you press A and B at the same time you can do a 'Kazooie Peck Attack' move. Where Kazooie will bite the enemy on the eyes or head. (peck peck peck) You can also do a 'Bear Charge' if you crouch with Z and press B and the talon trot somewhere in the first level makes it easier to move around.

Then you have your 'birdy backflip' by holiding Z and pressing A to get you to higher spaces.

You can get it the Talon Trot here if you do not want to hunt.
http://banjokazooie.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Mumbos_Mountain4.png

See this proves you can have flexibility in an adventure game without it being GTA style. in response to any sickos who think otherwise since Zelda fans think you have to be liner or it would turn into a Grand Theft Zelda.

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

Rusty Bucket Bay! That's what it's called lol. Well, I was just projecting; I assumed that's where zfttm64 got stuck. I got stuck for a little in the game because I couldn't find it lol ^^;. Ah, so much nostalgia and so many memories from that game...

I also loved Banjo Tooie. More attacks and cool moves. There was also a boss on every level. AND there was a boss replay mode. Then there were the mini games. I liked the multiplayer too. Pretty fast paced. And the shootout levels on multiplayer were decent in my opinion, as long as the matches weren't too drawn out, and as long as there were four of us (um, I wasn't too fond of the ice eggs though lol).

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

Both games were amazing, I beat the first but never the second. I highly highly doubt that the new microsoft rare will be able to make the 3rd one as good as the classic rares first two games. Perfect Dark Zero anyone? Ugh.

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

I'm hoping the third installment will be as good. It makes more sense for Banjo-Kazooie to be on the Wii, but whatever. Information for the third Banjo-Kazooie game will be brought out on May 13th, not too long from now. I beat both of them and the Game Boy Advance one (Grunty's Revnege) completely. By the way, anyone remember the whole Stop n' Swap ordeal?

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

1.) I got back into BK for quite a while. Beat it on a record of 6 hours (100%)
2.) Gotten into BT. Playing it over MANY times
3.) Joined "The Rare Witch Project" for (mostly) that sole purpose
4.) I am more hyped up about BK3 than even SSBB itself. I always fantasized after the release of Melee that Banjo-Kazooie would be a playable character.
5.) 4...more...DAYZ!
Banjo Kazooie

I have yet to determine BK#. Despite some bad thoughts me and others may have, I feel hope for this game...

You do know why Banjo-Kazooie 3 isn't Wii right?

I also have the GBA game but I didn't get into it.

Stop and Swap was to be a feature done like Sonic And Knuckles attached with Sonic 2 and Sonic 3, allowing you to take the items you collected from Banjo-Kazooie into Banjo-Tootie (where they would be used) the idea was removed from the game but the code obviously was not.

Oh yes, I certainly know why; Nintendo sold Rareware to Microsoft. I was just saying that Banjo-Kazooie makes more sense as a Nintendo character to me than a Microsoft one. Oh well. I have a 360 so I'll still be able to play it.

I love Bk, And BT soooo much!! Those are my favorite games after OoT.
I've spend hours playing those games, and i still do. I just cant seem to stop playing them... Well I just hope that Microsoft makes the 3rd game as memorable like BK, and BT. Well i doubt that since Microsoft just spend most of the time worrying about the graphics and not the game play...

Any body know why Rare sold the Rare characters rights to Microsoft???

Microsoft won't be making the game, Rareware will. Hopefully, this means they will do a good job of it. Gameplay is always more important than graphics (in my opinion), but nice graphics would be great, as well. And no, I'm actually sure why Nintendo sold Rareware; I believe it was an unwise move on their part.

I'm not sure, I couldn't find any details, but I'm guessing that it was for the money. Microsoft bought Rare for $377 million. Yeah, that's a lot of money lol, and apparently it's a record price for buying a video game developer.

Oh well, I guess this means no Banjo Threeie. And I was pretty much looking forward to it. Banjo Tooie was a decent step up from its predecessor. So yeah, Threeie probably would have been awesome. *mild sobs*

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

Banjo-Kazooie was awesome, and the sequel was even better. I doubt Threeie will live up to its predecessors, though; Rare's N64 franchises don't exactly have a reputation of turning out well on the 360. Perfect Dark Zero sucked, Conker Live and Reloaded was apparently ruined... already it's looking bad.

Any game where you can play as a washing machine is awesome in my book.

It was? I really liked the remake on Xbox--perhaps even more than the '64 original.

Re: Official Banjo Kazooie 3 Thread

Rares founders sold their 51% interest in Rare to Microsoft. Forcing Nintendo to then sell their 49% stake in the company as well. They ended up paying $377 million for Rare.

Look at how every single classic rare game was great and now look at what Microsoft rare has done. They clearly aren't as good anymore, just look at all the staff changes. For example Perfect Dark Zero was horrible compared to Perfect Dark (which is my favorite video game ever). I hope that Banjo-Kazooie 3 will not be brought down by Microsofts hand.
