Who voted "No"? Portal is probably the most perfect game I've ever played.

Portal is amazing, but far from perfect.

Would you mind pointing out some flaws?

There is no thing such as a flawless game. Every game has flaws- Even if they're just minor, yet detailed flaws. And that's factuality.

One of the flaws in Portal were, or so in my honest opinion, all the unanswered questions of the game.

You still aren't pointing out any flaws.

Also note that I didn't say it was perfect, I said it was the most perfect I've ever played.

I pointed out a minor flaw, a couple of my friends agreed with me to this point.

Secondly, if Portal is the most perfect game you've actually ever played, then I can only say you still haven't played a lot of great games.

Regardless, Portal's ad-campaign was definitely great, probably the best one I've played for the last couple of years, just thought I'd throw that in here.

You pointed out a completely insignificant flaw that doesn't effect the gameplay in the least. I'm not saying Portal is my favorite game ever, but it is basically flawless/perfect.

The only game that might be more perfect is Ocarina Of Time. (I hear Super Metroid is up there too, but I haven't had the pleasure of playing that.)

Portal is basically flawless indeed, not considering a couple of minor/normal details in the plot, gameplay, etc. Not graphics, since judging a game by that is simply bs. Even so, saying a game is entirely flawless is impossible.

Not going to reply to the "Ocarina of Time" part of your post, since that's for N64 Zelda and I'm not willing to continue two arguments in the exact same topic.

Somebody's done my usual trick and voted for every option just because they can. There's always one...

Portal is amazing. I think everybody should complete it at least once.

Unanswered questions allow for theories and sequels. Nothing wrong with that, is there?

Well, here's something that's likely to stir things up a bit...what the frag is Portal?

It's a game designed for the express purpose of showing off the Half-Life 2 physics engine. You use a portal gun to create linked portals in order to solve puzzles, most of which involve putting boxes onto switches, killing very polite automated gun turrets or slingshotting yourself across the room at great speed. And then there's cake.

Orange Box was, wothout a doubt, the best value for money in 2007.

And, yeah, Portal was pretty good, too.

I've never played it, but it looks awesome. And I've always wondered if a game like that would ever exist. I mean, there may be a couple of games already out that are similar to Portal in basic principle, but I don't know of them. I love how the game looks, and it's got me wondering who'll try to follow up on that in the near or general future...

When I bought the Orange Box it was like 85% for Portal and 15% for Team Fortress 2. GLaDOS is one of the best video game villains ever.

Spoiler (Highlight to read):
"Didn't we have some fun though? Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said 'Goodbye' and you were like 'NO WAY!' and then I was all 'We pretended we were going to murder you'? That was great!"

Also: This was a triumph....

A bit late here, but I only bought the damn thing yesterday.

So, I'd gladly pay the price of The Orange Box just for Portal, even if I did manage to finish it in a mere three hours or so. They were some of the best three hours I've ever spent on a game, for sure. I can't believe I left it so late to play this game.

I'm already desperate for the sequel.

Portal was pure genious. I love that game. Brilliant puzzles with equally brilliant humor. The rest of the Orange Box was rather dull, I thought. Don't get me wrong, Half Life is a decent game; it's just not nearly as revolutionary as everyone makes it out to be. Especially the sound design. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to make it so you can only hear something if you're looking directly at it should be hanged with their own intestines.

Portal was one of the best PC games I've ever played. Best first person shooter, but not quite a FPS ya know? It's so genius!!!!!!

Buzz and I played it together, beat it in one day. It was great to help each other out. The advanced ones (some, especially the last 3) were murder.... AHH!! My brain felt like exploding!
