Post Did you like Ratchet & Clank 2? Should I get it?

I already have R&C 1, and I've almost finished that game. Do you think it is worth getting the 2nd Ratchet & Clank game?

Yes, yes, yes, and more yes! Going Commando is great, and I mean that both ways, mind you! In fact, it's worth it to get all the Ratchet and Clank games, with the exception of Deadlocked maybe. They all should be discounted, and most GameStop's should have them all, so I would highly suggest you pick them all up.

Also, the PSP release Size Matters made it onto the PS2 as well. I have no idea how the PS2 plays compared to its PSP counterpart, but that might be a worthy investment as well. And if you're feeling really spiffy, Tools of Destruction is out on the PS3, which is one of the best games in the entire series!

The first 3 games in the series get better with each installment. Then Deadlocked... Probably the weakest in the series, but still very good.

I haven't played Size Matters or the PS3 game, but I'm sure they're fantastic.

I myself want to get into the Ratchet and Clank games to see if I will enjoy them, but I don't know where to start. There seems to be a lot of games, but I don't know which to play first. I really don't have the patience to track them down and play them by release order (the first one is harder to find, anyway), but is it imperative to the story of the games that I play the R&C series in order? If not, which one should I start with/is the best? Thanks.

The Ratchet and Clank games are brilliant. Buy all of them, not just Going Commando.
I've played them all ecxept for size matters and Tools of Destruction, but I'm sure their just as good.
Just be careful of Deadlocked, it was kind of a downfall, but still good.

You could honestly play them in any order without any sort of confusion. Though with be being a die-hard R&C fan, I would honestly suggest you start at the beginning and work your way forward. Not only will you relate more closely with the characters, but they're a lot of inside jokes that you won't catch unless you play them in order. Honestly, the first one shouldn't be that hard to find. At my local GameStop, we have about 7 used copies that are $10 or so.

They're really great games, and you won't regret playing each and every last one of them.

I guess if I do a little looking, I can find R&C1, and if not, there's always Ebay. I passed up a chance to buy it for five bucks at a clearance event, which I somewhat regret now. Oh well.

But I'll probably just buy the next one I see, probably Going Commando or Up your Arsenal. If the stories aren't connected too closely (unlike, say, the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time games), then it probably won't bother me. I actually finished Jak 3 a few weeks ago, and I just bought Jak 2 and will play it for the first time. I played Jak 1 for like and hour at a hotel a year ago, but that's about it. Although some of the characters of Jak 3 were unfamiliar, I caught on pretty fast and ended up enjoying it a lot.

I just want the best game of the R&C series, that way if I don't end up liking it, I'll at least know that it doesn't get any better.
