True, but then again this is probably the first time I've ever seen someone get mad over something this minor so it's rare overall. Generally it takes something somewhat negative (rather than simply funny such as the movie parody) about their favourite console/game to get a fanboy up in arms, so this is new.

There are always fanboys at sites like this, you're right. Not everyone is though. Tons of people such as myself tend to like every game and system that is fun, and don't really care if someone hates a game or system that they like. In the end does someone else's opinion stop you from having fun playing the game(s)? Not really, so who cares.

I mean sure it's crazy (a zelda movie) but some crazy things tend to work out in the end. At least I'm "over" it, otherwise I'd still be posting stuff like I was mad. Well about the prank anyway.

Nintendo makes great 1st party games, but they are cupled with some of the worst buisness decisions and maketing I've ever seen. The Wii has next to no 3rd party support, and Nintendo is alienating gamers so they can make money off old people who want to play tennis with thier 5 year old granchildren.

It isn't always Nintendo. You just think it is because you are blinded by fanboyism.

Nintendo are probably getting the short end because of what they're doing. I mean...Wii Play? Wii Fit? If they want more hardcore gamers playing their games, they gotta make them more serious. We haven't seen any Nintendo game thats worthy of an 18s certificate. Maybe Manhunt. We havent seen any decent shooter game like CoD 4 or Rainbow Six. No proper Rockstar game. Bully was a small game. They made the Brain Training, Sight Training and Maths Training for the DS. Old people play them. Its like video games aren't for kids anymore. I liked it when there was games like Crash Bandicoot or Spyro. Now, you'd see little girls playing NDSes on the street. And 50 year olds playing Wii Fit.
Nintendo have lost. Get over it.

Too true. There haven't really been any decent games for hardcore gamers on the Wii. I mean, TP was a huge letdown, and only decent games were probably Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Super Paper Mario, and that's it really.

It's a shame. While Nintendo has succeeded in attracting the casual gamer, they have abandoned the hardcore gamer in the process.

Prime 3, with Battalion Wars 2 and Strikers Charged being solid games (though not fantastic)

And you realize that the games you mentioned, in addition to Prime, are awesome, right?

Really, if you look at the games they were releasing at this time of the gen for 64 and Cube, the number of hardcore games and the quality of them aren't very different. That, and they've done some great things on DS in the past year.

What they don't have a clue how to do is advertise to the hardcore gamer, but they're still spitting out quality stuff for us.

True. Thats one of the reasons people bash Nintendo. 70 year olds and 3 year olds playing Wii Sports. Though while there are games like MP3, Manhunt 2, Scarface, No More Heros, and RE4 on the Wii, many of these are on other systems. These are about the only hardcore titles on the Wii.

But when people parody Nintendo, it doesn't mean they're fanboys. Nintendo just have lots of games to parody.

Being dead-serious or very violent doesn't make a game hardcore. In style, yes, but in terms of substance something like Boom Blox is just as hardcore as anything you just mentioned.
