Why was the Zelda Movie Trailer stupid? Because they didn't actually make the movie, or because you've somehow interpreted it as an attack on Nintendo?

I just don't find this (YouTube - NEW Legend of Zelda Movie trailer!!!!! WORLD PREMIERE!!!!!) kind of prank "funny". But I guess some of those might be ok, as long as they're not claiming to make a stupid movie. I think it's stupid cause they wasted a crapload of cash on a PRANK! I mean, it looks low budget like the Mario Bros movie. But it was a hollywood-class trailor. Even though they said it was April 1'st they didn't make it clear enough that it was a prank to me and I found that out a little late.(like after I decided to get tickets on the first day) I'm not saying it's an attack on Nintendo, but I guess that is how I felt about it...heh well what are you going to do? We all make mistakes, this happened to be one of mine. And of course I'm mad they didn't make it! I mean sure it might've been like Mario Bros, but seriously it would be kinda fun to see what little ol hollywood could come up with right? And land before time refrance...yikes didn't even notice! Hmm.....aw just thinking is all. At least you had the sense to just point it out instead of making fun...well er not like these guys are anyway.

If your first thought isn't "April 1st? There's something peculiar about that date..." then you getting embarassed because you're gullible is entirely your own fault, not theirs. It sounds like you're getting anal about the fact that they tricked you, more than the fact that they actually made it.

The fact that you actually tried to buy the tickets make this all the sweeter. And no I would not like to see a Zelda movie, because there's a 1230% chance that it will be crapola. its because nintendo has alot of great (and incredibly popular) properties to make fun of. they have Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Pokemon, Smash, the list goes on. What do the others have? Microsoft really only has halo and Sony has nearly nothing. those two have nothing even remotley comparable to the success of Nintendo's franchises. Jokes are only good if people understand them. if your going to make a gaming joke then use something lots of people are familiar with.

Yeah, Microsoft and Sony's games, while good, are not as widely known a Nintendo's So, it's easy to make jokes about them because they are so sucessful. Really it's a form of flattery.
