I've actually been to statewide tournaments. I don't use items, and I play by tourney rules. I just hate it when I hear people insulting others for using a character they like, rather than who is the best at the moment. Which, when I was in Orlando for Fast 1, I heard a bit of.

I don't hate tiers because of what they are to the game, I hate them because of all the drama they cause between the players.

In that case you should hate the players and not the tiers.

@Tigerboi Well, I do hate those players, the jerk ones anyways. However, tiers are pretty much the cause.
I just wish people didn't take them so seriously.

Sshhh... Don't feed the troll.

And people can play smash however they want, it's a game, its supposed to be fun. Do what you gotta do to have fun, but leave the competitive to the competitive and the casual to the casual. I don't see why we have to step on each others' toes all the time.

That's where my dislike for tiers started.
the casuals would insult the competitive players because of the tiers, and the vice versa because the casuals play their characters because they like them and not because of match ups, stats, etc.

People just can't seem to leave each other alone.

Yeah and you were right in that case, to blame the individuals, not the entire competitive community, because believe it or not, the ones who take the competitive side of smash very seriously, do NOT behave that way.

Yeah, when I was in Orlando last month for a big tournament, I met a decent amount of really good players that were cool with giving me advice for TL and Fox. While others just sat back and laughed at various people. It found it ironic when one guy who played DDD (CHAIN GRAB LAWL) felt he needed to insult the random person he beat by saying he had no skill.

I mean, I'm nice about the game. always. I try ot have fun win or lose.

But I show no mercy. Example: yeah, tripping is random and unfair in alot of cases.....but if I see you trip I'm going tot take the opportunity to bust your ****ing skull.

Some people are jerks about it. It doesn't mean the competitive smash community is bad in any way. It's just another way of having fun and winning fairly.

Just my stance is, if someone likes CF, he shouldn't be made fun of because of it.

The majority of the community is very cool. Just there are the few people in there that seem to be the cause of all the fights between casuals vs competitive.

Well, Buzz and I both played low tier characters competitively, and nobody made fun of us. At least, at real competitions. Plus, we were playing everyone in our same tier so its not like it made much of a difference.

But even low tier characters, when played really well, can beat top tier characters. Just check YouTube for Bum (DK) (Melee). He plays the pros and does an amazing job, winning several times with a low tier character. It isn't impossible. We've seen many characters do amazing things.

Young Link, although, Buzz moved more towards Captain Falcon in the end before Brawl came out. Now with Brawl he mains... sheesh, practically everyone, and I only main Wolf.

I agree i mean it's not like you're 100% vulnerable while tripping. It only lasts for like what? half a second.

But it's never as cheap as killing someone when you're taunting. I'm probably the only person who doesn't attack someone when they're taunting. Everyone here just hates on me cause I'm usually winning. >_<

Ah, wolf is pretty cool. i prefer Fox though.

@Kishiro I allow someone 1 taunt after they kill me. After that it is do it at your own risk
