I've never played any Fire Emblem games and that I deeply regret, I've heard nothing but good things about those games.
Tales of Symphonia takes the cake, by far. One of the best games ever.

In before the lock! I have only played fire emblem and I thought it was wicked hard. I have never even heard of tales of.

I've never played any of the Tales of series besides Phantasia for GBC, and I haven't played much of that. My best would be Fire Emblem out of the two. But they're both good in their own way.
