Now I don't know if there's a tekken thread or not, so do't blame me for this.

Whoever has/is playing Tekken, what is the best/worst of your time? How about discussing which character is better? Anything about Tekken can go here.

I play Tekken: Dark Resurection, for PSP, and Tekken 3. I play Asuka Kazama, in TDR, and Jin Kazama in T3.

I likes lots of posts in my threads, so post away.

No, you honestly just don't get it. :| For one just because someone plays slow doesn't mean it's a bad fighter. Tekken is a very fluid and balanced fighting series unlike the Soul Calibur one. Matter of fact the only actually well-balanced (on all levels) game in the Soul Calibur series is Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast/Arcade. The Soul Calibur has been getting worse with every installment in terms of fighting gameplay.

Doesn't matter how "well-balanced" a game is. If you like slow-paced fighters then thats what you like. SCII however, is a very fast-paced game that is played competitively. But who cares about competitive play... they are all nerds that aren't good at anything but fighting games. But yeah... you honestly don't get it. Also, SC4 wouldn't be good anyway.

That's like saying Super Smash Bros. Melee was a ****ty game, unless your saying that?

The fact is... after being on smashboards for some time I've learnt that all the fighting games that are played professionally/competitively are un-balanced. These range from SCII to SSBM and others.

But yeah, I'd never go to a fighting game tournament because I'm not a nerd... only nerds do that sh**. I was just on smashboards because I was looking for info on SSBB.

Then you mustn't have played the other characters. Like half is slow, but strong. The other is fast, but weak. And then there are a mass of other charaters that are just good in all ways. Besides, the game is real godd if you know how to play the game, and pull of combos, ooooo.


Plus, I think SCII is all right, but I play Tekken alot more.

In response to the thread: I rarely play Tekken. I prefer Street Fighter, and SC2. And Brawl, but that shouldn't count in this thread right?

Tekken is a great-fighting series, next to Street Fighter 2 in my list of best fighters ever.

Tekken is my favorite fighting series, by far. It probably helps that it was the first one I played, maybe the second (Mortal Kombat may have been my first). I've been playing since the beginning, I believe. I can't remember when the first Tekken came out, but my brother owned it, so whenever he got his own house, I went over there and played.

My favorite, I think, is either Tekken 3 or Tekken 5. I also liked the concept of T^3, but I'm not crazy over it; it's still good, though. My favorite characters to play are Jin (especially on T3), Hwoarang, and Law.

And now that I think about it, I think I've yet to play Tekken 4... Should I go out and buy it?

Uhhh, maybe you shouldn't buy Tekken 4, due to the fact that it was a little too easy. I praise the thought that you like to play those three characters. And Tekken Dark Ressurection, is just like Tekken 5.

Mortal Kombat is quite fun, but my game is lost, and I only play my PS3, PSP, and my bro's Wii.

What system is Tekken Dark Resurrection on? I haven't heard about that one... I only own Tekken 3, Tekken 5, and Tekken Tag Tournement. I've played the first two, thanks to my brother. I was going to buy them a year ago when I saw them at Game XChange, but when I went back... GXC was gone! D:

Play Tekken 5 if you get the chance. It's an awesome addition to the series, plus the side game for Jin is a ton of fun.

How does that make me ignorant? I have more important things to do on weekends... such as Athletics (800m) and during the winter..
