Sony Smash Bros.

We obviously know of the great Nintendo Beat-'Em-Up game series that gained more popularity as it released a new game every time. So I'm just wondering, if Sony ever released a similar game for its PlayStation system - let's say either PS2 or PS3 - what characters would be included. Who would make a great character addition to a Sony Smash Bros. game?

Here are my ideas:

Kratos - God of War
Prince (don't know his real name if he has one) - Prince of Persia
Dante - Devil May Cry

Who does everyone else think Sony should ever add to this fictitious game idea?

Okay well Kratos is a Sony character, mybad.

But I think this wouldn't be a very good idea. Sony really doesn't have a lineup of interesting characters to make a whole fighting game out of it. And when I say Sony, I mean, first-party Sony games, not third-party.

Something like Sega or Capcom does, though.

None of those even are made by Sony. Prince of Persia is Ubisoft (and before that Broderbund), God of War is SCE Santa Monica, and Devil May Cry is Capcom.

Also, Prince of Persia and DMC (4 at least) aren't even Sony exclusives. I have them both on my 360.

I don't think the world would welcome a smash copy-cat... Needless to say, Ninty put a lot of effort into making the smash games and I don't think any company would want to put an equal amount of effort into making a game that probably wouldn't even become as popular simply because the character lineup of Nintendo can't possibly be matched by a single other party.

I wasn't thinking that they should make one, just thought it was something to dwell upon for fun.

And even if they're not from Sony, I still think it's a fun idea to come up with who to add to a Sony Smash Bros. Oh well, idea failed XP.

Since when did Sony have characters? They just make the consoles, not the games.

Well, seeing as how 'Super Smash Bros." is a play on "Super Mario Bros.", I doubt we'll be seeing a Sony SMash Bros. game.

Also, Sony don't have so many characters.

Actually Sony has developed a few games, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus spring to mind but there are a few others.

A Sony Smash Bros game would suck in my opinion. As stated in this topic before, Sony doesn't have much characters.
