Most Memorable Video Game Moments [Shameless Spoilers! Gamers Beware]

There are some moments in video games that really stand out and make an impression on the gamer. Moments that stick with you just like when you first watch a shocking scene from a movie or witness something crazy before our eyes. Be it through drama, humor, sadness, happiness or shock these stick in our minds even years after we have stopped playing it. So what are your most memorable video game moments?
What stayed with you even after playing the game, what made you feel sad, happy or any other emotion along those lines?

The way they made Umbridges face in HP 5 XD

All the great games have hugely memorable moments in and that’s what makes them become the classics we love. This was rather hard for me to pick one so I cowardly picked a multiple choice as usual. So here is my list of Ten in no particular order:

• Final Fantasy VII: Aeris is killed by Sephiroth.
• 007 GoldenEye: Victory against your friends in the GoldenEye multiplayer.
• Crystal Chronicles: The plot twist at the end.
• The Wind Waker:Hyrule is destroyed.
• Ocarina of Time: Waking from a 7 year slumber to find Hyrule’s new state and more.
• Mario 64: The last fight.
• Legend of Dragoon: Rose's history.
• Final Fantasy VIII: Opening scene.
• Metroid: Samus….is a woman!
• Super Smash Bros: seeing our beloved characters in the same game.

Starfox on the Super Nintendo. The ending was brilliant and the speech brought a tear to my eye. This was back in the days when people appreciated speech in games.

Pong. I love pong. All those colors, all two of them. The graphics were sooooo cool and it had detail you couldn't help but drool over. xP

Lol, seriously, it would have to be good old Donkey kong country. It was a break through in snes software. Good ol' rare, they never fail to please. xP

The scene in Luigi's Mansion where Luigi first finds Mario trapped in the basement. I'll always remember Mario yelling "Get me out of here!" and Luigi staring out of the statue he's hiding in making like he's grabbing something. Haha, he's funny.

The Darkness... when your girlfriend gets shot in the head right before your eyes... speechless...

I can't decide on just one, so I've got a few here:

- Aerith's death in Final Fantasy VII
- Playing through OoT (my first Zelda game) and realizing that there would be more than three dungeons
- Learning how pretty much everyone is dead in Final Fantasy X
- The secret ending of Metroid Prime 3; finally, Samus shows some emotion

Whenever Captain Falcon says "Show me ya moves!"

Practically every part in Resident Evil 4. Though I can say I've beaten that game over 5 times on Professional mode.

Secondly, a couple of parts in Majora's Mask. Mainly the Great Bay Temple and Stone Tower temple and basically everything in between, to describe it vaguely.

Those two scenes will always be in memoriam.

When I got cake in Portal.

Beating the living hell out of Melbu Frahma at the end of Legend of Dragoon (PS1) was epic for me. My cousin and I were racing to see who could beat the game first, and I won. (: But yeah, it took me so many tries to beat him and his several forms, as I was underleveled. The frustration was immeasurable. Any intense moment in that game was memorable for me, though, like the ending of Disc 1. It totally made me cry the first time I played.

There are other moments, I'm sure, but that came to mind first.

Destruction of Gohtsa, and New King in Uhra in LO. BIIIG changes.

Super Paper Mario - JESUS CHRIST I ****ING BAWWWWW'D AT THE ENDING

Final Fantasy 7 - Oh. Aeris died. Whoopdie-do. Never used her.

Metroid Prime 2 - Secret Ending. Hurrah, Samus is now officially a fanservice character. Way to go, Nintendo!

Jak 3 - Wait, what? OH HOLY **** FATHER OH HOLY **** HE'S BEING CRUSHED BY THE TRUCK FFFFFFFF

RE4 had some really great memorable moments. I'll never forget the first time Ashley called me a perv while being shot at. I mean honestly! Here I am risking my neck to save her and when I get shot she calles me a perv

Or the many times I had found my head staring at my ass as my body fell... i'll never look at chainsaws again

RE4 was an amazing game that frustrated me to no end, but enjoyed every moment of it.

Many of the Cutscenes from Twilight Princess. I dont care what you think of the game, but it had by far the most epic cutscenes in the series. I loved how Collin shoves whatsherface out of the way and gets caught.

I thought the scene where Zelda obtains the Light Arrows can only be described as epic.

The scene where that one cutscene explaining the lure of the Triforce and how far people would go.

Also the ending of Super Mario Sunshine was awsome. Which I just beat this morning! Well unless you don't count beating a game without the shine sprites(only have 69... could have more have over 50 blue coins!) I laughed when I opened up my file and accidentally talked to one of the Delphino people and he said something like 'Could this be the end of the game? I hope something happens' that was great.

Well thats all I can think of right now... sad

My favorite moment in videogames is in the game Madden 08. If you win 50 times in a row scoring over 500 points without cheating and using the Giants you get to see a Super Bowl ad. In it, a kid eats a Sports Illustrated and the world blows up. Then it gets replaced by a world where everyone wears the football uniforms the
Giants wear. And then everyone scores a touchdown and the annoucer goes, "DON'T GET MAD! GET GLAD ZIPPER BAGS!" Then, everyone on the world drinks a coke.

The greatest moment in video game history was the live-action cutscenes showed in Command & Conquer: Tiberan Sun. Because GDI general James Solomon was played by James Earl mother****ing Jones.

Awesome.

in mm most of the Ikan cut scenes they were awsome.

I'll go with some well earned predictability and say the Opera House Scene in FFVI. Looking at it in hindsight, there's no way this event could have had the huge emotional impact it did on me.
Let's list the flaws: A war general turns into opera floozy in like five minutes; the coincidence that not only does Celes look like Maria, but she can sing like her too, totally unsuspends the suspension of disbelief. Ultros and Setzer; seriously, who let the giant Octopus in? Its an opera for all the rich snobs in town and yet the chump in charge can't even afford security.
Plotholes? No, simply leaps and jumps over the hurdles called logic and inconvenience.

I look at the episode again and realize, it was all about showcasing the music. And godly music it was. Without Nobuo Uematsu, no one at Square would have had the balls to attempt such an endeavor, let alone pull it off.

And I'm rambling. Blah. Never drink 2 gallons of OJ.
