Most Memorable Video Game Moments [Shameless Spoilers! Gamers Beware]

Another awesome moment is in MGS1. In it if you kill 5000 soilders on the hardest difficulty, Snake starts to drink A1 steak sauce in the cutscene before you fight Sniper Wolf. Then he goes, "Mmm mmm mmm! Toasty!"

Very cool to see some RE4 shoutouts here. I'd have to say fighting in that housefull of Ganados alongside Luis (<3) was very memorable for me. ...I also can't believe I let the red cultist get away; I went o_O when he went after me with that giant machine gun. And the Bella Sisters were just terrifying with their dog-like yelps and the roar of their chainsaws...Oh, speaking of Capcom (and Grasshopper manufacture?) finding out the secret about who the main character really is and what he did in Killer7 was incredibly touching, shocking and sad. It was the OMGBBQ cherry on top of the LOLWTF sundae.

Samus was so much prettier in the first Prime in comparison to 2 and 3. Speaking of Metroid, I was totally in awe when I came across the Impact Crater Temple for the first time. The beginning of the game in the Frigate creeped me out so much.

In Super Mario Brothers, when the princess wasn't in another castle.

Meh, I'll just go with three memories for now. I expect most of you to know one, a lot of you to know two...and if anyone else recognises all three, they win a slice of cake.

• Master Quest - I haven't played this game all the way through, but when my sister played it for the first time, she got hit by something and her Deku shield got burned up. In the Deku Tree. We were all rather shocked for a moment, and then one of us saw the culprit.

• Chrono Trigger - The scene where Frog claims the Masamune as his own. I love that part.

• Battletech: Crescent Hawk's Inception - This is a really old RPG that I loved when I was a kid (still do). Dates back to the eighties. Anyway, early in the storyline, you're in a military training base, learning to pilot Battlemechs (ten metres tall, enough power to level a city - you know the drill). But your base gets invaded, and you have to make it out alive, hopefully with an intact Battlemech. I was the first person to escape with a Chameleon (best 'mech in the game), and boy, did that feel good.

Also, pretty much the entire game of Paper Mario:TTYD. That is my favorite Mario game ever. Yes, over the old-school ones, 64, Galaxy, and whatnot. It's just too brilliant.

I was also pleasantly shocked when (I'll put spoiler tags anyway, despite the fact that the thread title says "spoilers" in it):

*spoilers for The Wind Waker's ending*
Link thrust thrust the sword into Ganondorf's head at the end of TWW, and Ganondorf made a comment about the wind blowing (you'd have to pay attention to his previous dialogue), and then he turns to stone and dies, lost forever at the bottom of the ocean. WHOA.
Also, Ganondorf was just overall an absolute awesome villain in TWW. His personality was done perfectly, not like OoT and TP. He actually has a reason for wanting Hyrule.

I never did beat Paper Mario:TTYD, I got stuck somewhere after opening the door and kind of forgot about it. Still that game has some great moments.

Also I remembered a few RE4 moments that will live with me forever.

1) The part where You, Luis and Ashley are surrounded in that house. I remember just freaking out. I mean how am I supposed to fend off a freaking army of these things! So I just kept firing at the windows praying it would all just end.

2) When you first encounter one of those fast regenerating Ganados. That whole area just scared me *shivers* Still I remember just shooting at it praying that the thing would die. Finally I gave up and left the room happy to leave that thing behind. I was going to investiage another room when I saw another one down the hall. The thing scared me half to death! By this point I was freaking out and just ran into the room where you get the infared scope... but I knew the second I obtained it...

Huh? I don't remember that. Maybe I haven't gotten there yet. I'm up in the third floor, already beaten the big Boo, but now I'm stuck. But anyway, that is funny for Mario to say. XD

And mind you, it isn't often that Mario makes me laugh. Luigi was always the one to make me crack up until SMG. In fact, I'd say another memorable moment in that game would be the first time I accidentally lit Mario's rear on fire and he started running around screaming and clutching his butt. XD

Luigi did the same when I got him playable, but he made me laugh harder with the way he sounded.

Oh yeah, can't forget hitting those rubber green things and letting them hit the two back. That was funny too. XD

You've seen Mario's painting, correct? Hang around near the well where you climb down there; you'll hear him shout it faintly.

Both of them make me laugh. In fact, most of the Mushroom kingdom characters in general make me laugh. Plus, Mario's voice is downright hilarious sometimes ("FOOOOOORE!!!").
Although, I have to say, one of my favorite Luigi moments was in Partners in Time where he tries to cheer up his baby self by dancing and going "Babies!" :XD

TP Spoiler:
The departure of Midna at the end of the game. You travelled with her throughout the game and she just takes off without an explanation or even a real goodbye. It was an emotional scene especially when you saw Link's reaction.

I haven't played Partners in Time or Superstar Saga, but I want to. I don't have a handheld Mario game, yet I've got at least a few handheld Zelda and Pokemon games. D:

And actually, now that I think of it, Mario made me laugh a couple times in Mario Party. Especially with his hysterical laughing whenever he got hit or something. "HAHAhahaha!"

As for Luigi, I found his voice funny a lot, especially with the fire thing I just mentioned. "AHHHH!" "HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!" XD

Oh yeah, the way he was yelling "Mario!" in Ghostly Galaxy was funny too.

What do you mean? In MP1, Samus looks like an old woman! MP2 and MP3 are way hotter (yes, I know its just a game).

Well, I don't think that opinion is completely objective. I thought the model in Prime 2 looked kinda...eh. I liked Zero Suit Samus in Zero Mission, but I don't think they should pidgeonhole the design in every game. Smash Brothers got it right...I don't know what's wrong with Retro.

When I beat final fantasy 9, with the best ending. It was SUCH a good ending to SUCH a great game. I cried, I'll admit it. I don't even usually cry at touchy movies or games and the like, but that moment was so amazing it brought a tear to me eye. No game has ever come that close to being real more than ff9 did for me, and that was back in 2000 on the psone. Who knows what the future holds?

The GTA trailer, where the guy says, "Life is compliataced. I have killed people, smuggled people, sold people".

When i finally bet Lu Bu in dynasty warriors

Two moments from Final Fantasy that will forever stick in my mind:
FF7: Sephiroth looking all emo-tastic, then walking through the fire. Badass.
FF6: Watching Kefka destroy the world and yelling, "What!? That's not supposed to happen!"

Are you serious? Samus' face model in Metroid Prime looked great, while the character models for her in the next two games looked like Barbie dolls.

What? MP2 and 3 is what Samus is supposed to look like. MP1 is the only game Samus had that appearance.
