Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

It's quite true. Ah well. More people should come in to discuss and maybe this wouldn't happen. =P

Yeah, I can't say that I'm crazy enough to do that. That must've been insane. But hey, who can complain when you end up with a PS3 and DMC4? All I have to do in college is work for car insurance and gas money, and anything else can basically be saved for video games and a fund for things later in life (marriage, kids, retirement, whatever). I need to buy DMC2 and DMC3 with some of that money.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

You can buy all three for $30 in the anniversary pack, though you already own one. DMC4 is coming out for PC as well, so if you have a good enough system you can always pick up that version instead.

I see maybe 2 or 3 more people joining this discussion. Since this is a Nintendo forum, you mainly won't find to many Sony supporters here, check the console Vs thread if you don't believe me.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

That sounds like the better deal to me. I could always buy the two used, though, at Hastings. I'd buy DMC4 for PC, but, alas, my computer cannot run any decent games. I've tried, trust me.

And that's true... I didn't think of that. I don't see why people can't love Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and other consoles equally. What's the big freaking deal? I go by the game library, not by who makes the games... I'm almost afraid to check that thread. x:

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

According to that thread only 22 people(those who voted) own a PS3, though I'm sure there are more PS2 owners.

Here is a comical review of DMC4 to try and keep this thread on topic.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

I'll see if I can get the video to actually load. I want to see funny, vulgar reviews. Blargh, I really do hate dial-up. >__<

Since you're the DMC fanboy, what is your favorite aspect of the games? What makes them better than other franchises you've played?

(You may want to update your profile. You kind of have the PS3 and DMC4, ya know. =P)

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

Ouch, Dial-up, I have to go back to dial-up on Tuesday for about 2 weeks, not looking forward to that.

Anyway, I guess I am kinda a fanboy of the series. My favorite parts have to be the combat, music, and one-liners. Since you've only played one you probably haven't heard how different the music is in three. I really like it, though I know many people hate it.

I'll get around to updating my profile. It took me 2 years to get it to where it is now. Same goes for my myspace, and the same fate is probably in store for my Facebook page as well.

Neither of the games were hard for me. Although I've never touched DMC2 or 4.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

Bummer! I don't wish dial-up upon anyone. Seriously. But I got the majority of the video to load, and I must say, that is a very satisfying review. Well. Not really. But I love vulgarity. (:

Music is a big part of video games for me. It can make the game that much more satisfying, which is what it does for DMC, well, of the music I have heard. I love the graphics in the game.

MySpace isn't worth the trouble, but don't abandon Facebook. It's lovely.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

Yup, love the music. While the first one seems to be more on the techno side, three and four are more metal(I think, I suck at putting music into genres).

What I love about DMC is how there is no slowdown in fights. The screen can be full of enemies and there won't be any lag at all, even in the PS3 version, which has a lot to handle.

(Myspace and Facebook etc. talk should probably be done over PM, though I doubt a mod will look in a DMC thread)

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

I'm a fan of both genres, so I'm good on the music-front, then, when it comes to this franchise. Load times are another thing that really affects how much I appreciate/enjoy the game, as I'm sure it is with anyone. Who wants to end up in a battle and have to deal with numerous lag-pauses. How annoying. At least I know that the rest of the games are quality in that nature. (:

(Hence why I'm dropping the subject now. I just have a baaaad habit of going off on tangents. Sorry. ><)

DMC has relatively short load times(if you don't count that number four has to install for 20 minutes)

Go off on a tangent all you want, I can talk about anything really and it won't bother me a bit

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

Yeah, I don't imagine that would really count, since it's one-time thing, right? I assume, anyway.

Man, I really want to join the Din clan. Blargh. I don't want to wait nearly a month... Is it as awesome as HR tells me it is?

Yeah the install is a one time thing, it also plays the story of all 3 DMC games while it installs. But after that the load times are non-existent.

BTW, you don't get to pick your clan. You take a test and a mod puts you in the one that your answers suited best. I joined a clan clan just 'cause, I haven't really visited it that much, so I can't really comment.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

That's pretty cool. I likes me some no loading times.

GAH. Figures... oh well. I'll probably add at the end of my test about how HR's in Din and blahblahblah. Whether it'll make a difference or not beats me. *shrugs* And I'm pretty sure I can't talk about DMC anymore, seeing as I just haven't played enough to really discuss it. I tried.

That's true. Ah well, no matter really.

DMC-related: Dante is pretty hot for a game character. Badass, too. Yeahhh.

Ummm, no comment on Dante's appearance for me, though lady is pretty cool. We need someone like Mafoofoo to join in on this thread.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

Yeah, I wasn't expecting a response to that, really. If nothing else, I can just throw it into "good character design" or something. The enemies do look pretty gruesome and just plain awesome, from what I remember.

Re: Devil May Cry: Which is hardest?

Third one is the hardest by far. I made it about halfway through the first one before I ran into any problems; the fourth one I only died in once; I've never played the second one, but I've heard it's pathetically easy; and I found the third one to be difficult from the get-go. I was quite disappointed with the easiness of the fourth after playing the third.

Also, Ninja Gaiden Black is way harder than DMC.
