2008, the 10th anniversary of The Game Boy Color!

Welcome to the party of the year!
The Game Boy Color the child of the Black and White Game boy which started it all, completes 10 full years!
How do i know this, you ask? Simple!

When looking through my old videogame consoles and games, i looked at the back of my Game boy Color and it said:

1998 Nintendo

So, Happy Birthday, Game Boy Color!

2008, the year of the GBC portable!

The Game Boy Color is still serious buisness. So many good games, and the classic feel to it. Shame we don't have this kind of good **** here nowadays.
Happy B-day to the ultimate portable gaming system.

Woohoo! I've still got my little dude! It's is so much fun to use, and the look just doesn't get old.

Sad thing is, I lost half the games I owned for it when I moved... ;_;

But hey, as long as I can still play the games I do have, I'm happy with it!

The Game Boy Color was the first game system I ever owned. I've still got all my old GBC games in a drawer somewhere.

I never had a GBC. But I do have my dad's original gameboy, from like 1989. It still works too! Sometimes I still play Super Mario World on it, I love that game! lol

I got a teal coloured Game Boy Color for mt tenth birthday, with Pokemon Yellow.

8 years later I'm getting the Nintendo DS for my birthday XD

It was the first GameBoy I owned, but even before then I played the orignal and even the pocket.

I love thinking back on these days. It makes me happy.

Oook. Well the only thing I can say about this topic is this: When will they introduce GB and GBC games on the Wii's Virtual Console? They are the only Nintendo systems that can't be played on today's consoles. I'd hate to have more and more ports to games (like LoZ to the GBA Classic), rather than just having downloaded copies. True I don't own a Wii just yet, but when I do, OoS, OoA, and LA will be waiting for me.

I agree, this is pretty much true.

I wasn't impressed with the GBC. It did have a handful of great games on it, but as a whole it felt like the attention-deprived middle child between the Game Boy and the Game Boy Advance.

(To its credit, the Oracles are probably my favorite Zelda games, so it's not all bad.)

talking about years, The GBA is going to do 10 years in 2010.

The GBC was the 2nd console i got, but the first portable... too bad it doesn't have light for the dark...

Yai GBC! As said above, it wasn't as flashy as the GB and GBA, but it still served its purpose.

Torquoise GBC + PKMN Red Yellow & Silver, Oracle of Ages and all that amazing stuff (Y)

I had one of those, too, and when my parents first pulled it out of the box they thought it was broken.
