Tetris DS

This is one of my favorite DS titles! I love the theme it has on the 8-bit Nintendo characters and the music! My two favorite modes are Classic with the Mario theme, and Touch (the one where you use the stylus to drag the pieces down to get the cage of the balloons) with the Balloon Fighter theme. The Donkey Kong one is lots of fun too.

What do you guys think about this insanely awesome, yet underrated, game?

One of those games that I really want to buy, but to be honest there are games I'm more interested in.

It does look awesome though, I intend to buy it at some point.

I cannot win at the Donkey Kong mode though. I once almost beat the CPU (level 1 as well =P), but he managed to stage a comeback. I just don't get it.

The other modes though I'm fairly good at, so I guess it balances out.

With Donkey Kong mode, it's best to score Tetris as much as you can and clear lines to force the tetriminoes back down to your foe so he loses.

That's the goal with most of the modes =\

I don't know what it is, maybe because we directly affect each other's playing field (as opposed to indirectly), but there is something about the mode that prevents me from being able to beat it.

I mean to literally force everything down on your opponent. If he forces everything up too far, you lose.

Same here. I'd love to have it, just because Tetris is so fun, but there's already a bunch of other stuff I want more. Maybe if I find it somewhere for insanely cheap.

I'd love to see them tweak the Tetris formula a bit somewhere down the line. Tetrisphere for the N64 was a pretty innovative and fun update to the concept. I'd love to see them do something like that again, but with an emphasis on either the DS or Wii's controls.

Tetris was tweaked quite a bit for Tetris DS. There were plenty of different modes, just nothing to do with a sphere.

Tetris DS is my favorite Tetris game, with Tetris World's coming in a close second. That game rocked as well. ^_^

I had no clue there was one. I must try it out.

I was super-hyped for this game. It's a must-own for Tetris and retro lovers alike!
