Nostalgic Games

Have you ever been hit by nostalgia by remembering an old game that you played when you were 7?

It hit me yesterday, two games that I remember only one part, but I remember them very clearly.

Megaman Legends and The Missadventures of Tron Bonne.

Even though neither of them sold well, I absolutely loved both games (<3 Servbots. X3)

Also the only Megaman related games I have ever played, I can only remember the first boss of Megaman Legends, but I remember it very well. As for TMoTB, I only remember the intro of it, and the Servbots.

So, have you ever been hit with a massive wave of gaming nostalgia before?

Re: Nostalgic Games

I woke up at 5 this morning with the tune from Spy vs. Spy (there was a game for the Sega system) in my head. I'm not sure why I woke up thinking about it; I don't think I've played it since 1990 or earlier.

Oh, that reminds me also, Jehanne (somehow)

Gex 64 I loved too. Although I was scared ****less of that little kid with the knife in that Mansion level.

Nostalgic games?

Sonic 2, Super Mario RPG, and Mortal Kombat III come to mind for me.

Re: Nostalgic Games

River City Ransom. I actually played a hacked rom of it first, only to realize.. 'I played this game before!'

And I looked it up, played the original and remembered that it was the very first game I ever played. I think I was 4 or 5 at the time and played it all the time at a friend's house.

Even though I never played it when I was young, FF6 has such a nostalgic feel to it, especially the music, it makes you feel younger.

ALttP brings back even more for me.

Hell, it took me YEARS to beat it. (of course, I was young and not so skilled at it.)

I've probably beaten it at least 6 or so times, maybe more.

Re: Nostalgic Games

FF7 is another one for me too. I remember playing it and never being able to get past the first level because I never stopped to help that girl in the reactor.

I beat Gex 64 completely, getting all phones. It was awesome, especially the japanese and prehistory-based levels.

OMG, that is what I was gonna say! I always found Alex the kidd hard and I never beat it. As for Sonic that game was just pure awesomeness and back then I thought he was better than Mario, now I'm not too sure. Another game I remember is Marvel vs Capcom, that game was one of my fave fighting games along with Street fighter.
