Favourite Game Ending

Hey, my first new topic! Hmm...not including meh RotS topic....*cough* ANYway, what is your favorate ending to a game?

And, forgive me if someone has already made a topic like this, but, I didn't see one so...

Mine would be Kingdom Hearts. The ending to that game is so awesome, with the music and all.
Second fave is OoT. It's a little sad how

Link and Zelda have to say goodbye at the end, but I love how they show all the different areas of Hyrule while Zelda's lullaby plays in the background. Then the end part with all the sages? Ah...awesome. And when Link walks away from the master sword and it ends showing it.....thats just plain cool XD;;

Favourite game ending? There are quite a few of them, though Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne has by far the most awesome ending cinematic ever made, despite the fact that all it does is sets it up for another sequel. >_>

I'll go with the classic, Super Mario brothers. After all that princess is in another castle stuff it was good to see the princess give mario his just reward for all that hard work. Even if mazza is slightly embarrased.

Second best I'd say tWW because it promises more adventure.

Third best MM because Link queitly leaves, but he had made one last new friend. As the credits roll you see every one's problems resolved the wedding scene being particular touching.

Mines windwaker its brill were were link just jumps and sticks the master sword in his head then the sad part of were there all floating away from hyrule and the last bit when there going away means ww2

Mine is TWW. The ending was very touching. When Hyrule Castle gets flooded and the King says good bye to Link. And when Link reaches his hand to him, but the king doesn't grab it. Also, my second favorite ending is in OoT, it was just a suprise for Zelda to see Link was back to see her.

Oh yeah! The part where Link rams his sword into Ganondorf's head was TIGHT!

Yes, I would go as far to say it is the best finishing off of an end boss ever.

At the moment I'd have to go with the TWW ending, that ending just plainly RULZ second is MM cause I like everything that happens in the ending (I also like the GAME OVER ending of MM o.o sooo much fire :p )
and for 3rd place ill go with...VIEWTIFUL JOE lol the ending was funny that's about it :p

I loved FFX's ending it was so happy and sad mostly sad its a really touching ending.

Well most zelda games have a good ending. WHich makes you sad. I enjoyed the OoT ending. But i havent seen it in along time. But its nice seeing all the characters again.

Halo had an ordinary ending. But there secret ending was good. lol.

And Fireball. Ia gree that WW had the best finishing off an end boss.

Yes, I have to agree that "Who's yo daddeh?" pumpin the sword into Ganondorf's forehead at the end of tWW was VERY cool, and the most enjoyable thing I have experienced in a game.

OoT's ending was also completely awesome... very big, and fantastical, magical, emotion... but overall kickin.

Umm... well, I thought the ending to Monkey Island was funny, the same with Day of the Tentacle.

Nup... its not coming... Zelda games blow them outta the water. I think.

I did always enjoy seeing Hitler get completely mamed at the end of Episode 2 or 3 in Wolfenstein 3D though. Hella cool.

OoT had my most enjoyed ending... it was superb.
I enjoyed the ending in FFVII as well. I suppose that it could of been done better but the lead up to it was good enough to win me over. The last fight with Sephiroth was great

Super Metroid without a doubt.
In my opinion , the whole final boss battle and the escape from Zebes was a ending on it's own.

I won't go any further in it to avoid spoilers.

I have a hard time deciding between OoT, LttP, and Final Fantasy 6... on one hand, you get the best 3D game of all time, after fighting the King of Evil twice, experiencing a collapsing tower, fighting the best boss battle of all time, then going through that party in Lon Lon Ranch, and that awesome scene in the Castle Courtyard at the very end.

On another hand, you killed the King of Evil, claimed the united Triforce, laid the Master Sword to rest... Forever!, turned the Dark World back into the Sacred Realm (though you don't actually get to SEE that ), get to see everyone's lives restored and sicknesses healed and partying in the Light World, all the while having some of the best music of all time playing for you.

And on the last hand( ), you just fought an epic battle with Kefka, a twisted, insane, yet philisophical being who absorbed the power of three Goddesses and destroyed the world. FF6's has one of the most emotional endings I have ever seen....


Unfortunately, though it seems like I am betraying the amazing music at the end of LttP... OoT gets the edge, with LttP in second.

OoT, ALTTP... Almost all of the Zelda games. Believe it or not, I beat ALTTP while I was at the toilet... It was the GBA version of course. Also, Knights of the Old Republic has a very neat Dark Side ending (and also how the game turns out if you're dark), but I have yet to see the Light Side ending. Don't worry, I'm working on it.

Um...Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic was one hell of a light side ending! Good ending!

Kingdom Hearts..Awesome ending..Now I have to find all 100 Dalmations...for the secret ending!

But these two are my favourites!

those are the only games i've beat basically, excluding the ones i didn't like.....

I've always liked LA's ending.... despite it being quite bizarre.

The owl tells you how he is part of the psyche of the the Windwish (A giant whale! he is neither wind nor fish). And the solemn melody of the Ballad of the Windfish picks up... surely bolstered by the rest of the instruments. Memories flash past you... until the island disappears... a gusher sends you upwards and then into the water. Hanging onto a piece of flotsam, Link's stern countenance looks up.. and breaks into a smile as he sees the windfish traversing overhead. Finally the credits end with the cry of the seagulls.

The one of many runner-ups. OOT. I've always like the very end when Link goes back to talk to Zelda for the first time.

MM's ending. You see everyone you had helped, the culmination of all of your hard work.

I loved the multiple endings of Chrono Trigger. I don't really know which is my fav, since i haven't seen em all yet(haven't played it in a long time).

My favorite game ending of all time is the end CG to Final Fantasy IX. Im confindent enough in my sexuality and all that jazz to admit that it made me cry. It was a such a sweet, surprising ending, it made me quite happy. I dont feel like explaining/spoiling the ending, though...
