Wow, that's a lot including Shiny Pokemon and different forms. However, I just care about getting one of every single Pokemon, but I would like to have both forms of Shellos and Gastrodon as well as all forms of Unown, Burmy, and Wormadam. Shinies...nah, the regular ones are good enough for me.

Unown has different forms yes. But an "A" variety unown is still an unown, much like a "Z" variety. The same applies for Deoxys.

Arceus changes color and type, nothing more. He doesn't even have different physical representations like the other mentions.

And technically, if change of type and type alone constitutes as a whole 'nother pokemon, then we might as well add another 17 for Kecleon.

Why count shinies too? It's just slightly altered color. We might as well say infinite because each pokemon could have different weight and length by a small amount a 15 lb. Magikarp should be differentiated between a 16 lb. Magikarp by that theory.

491. Technically less if you count forms. Like, my Riolu evolves into Lucario, it's still the exact same pokemon. Same EVs, DVs, same pokemon.

Lucario has a different moveset from Riolu, so they're different.

Dragon Arceus learns Draco Meteor, therefore, it's different from the other forms.

And Deoxys...I don't even know where you got the idea that they're all the same.

Evolution is the only thing that can constitute a different Pokémon. It is fact.

Prinplup becomes Empoleon at level 36.

Ponyta becomes Rapidash at level 40.

Graveler becomes Golem when traded.

I would not say that being in a crappy anime (my opinion, sorry) qualifies a pokemon to have first-gen roots. I indeed watched it at one time, as I was a pokenut, but in my opinion, its an insult to the series and why the games are shunned by many people. I stick by wot happens in the games.

I liked the anime...

And that is fine, it is more a thing of taste, but you have to admit how drastically different it is from the games, and how they make them seem much more childish.

I remember in Red and Blue all the Pokemon just made little noises. Then the anime came along and now Pokemon say their names for some reason... oy.

Pika=Electric, Chu=Mouse...

How on earth in all that is possible did that coincidence happen? How does an Animal speak in a language comprised of one word that is based off human words! MADNESS! DOG WITH MEAT!

My Prinplup and Ponyta became Empoleon and Rapidash, and this morning I traded for a Haunter in game.

Alas, I still can't access the WiFi. D:

guys, i've just passed over 340:00 on my pokemon pearl and i have caught a shiny red gyrados, a shiny dark gray camerupt, a shiny purple wurmple, a shiny green cascoon and a shiny brown starly. i must be blessed how much shiny pokemon do u have?

Big lols, just caught Dialga with a quick ball on first try.

Oh, my squad is alright for now I guess. Need to grind most of them to around lvl 45.

In order of level:

Luxray lv 48 (Charge, Spark, Thunder Fang, Crunch)
Empoleon lv 40 (BubbleBeam, Aqua Jet, Metal Claw, Brine)
Staraptor lv 40 (Aeriel Ace, Fly, Close Combat, Take Down)
Noctowl lv 35 (Reflect, Confusion, Take Down, Air Slash)
Haunter lv 35 (Sucker Punch, Shadow Punch, Payback, Shadow Ball)

Switch these two around mostly:
Graveler lv 31 (Magnitude, Self Destruct, Rollout, Rock Blast)
Kadabra lv 21 (Teleport, Kinesis, Confusion, Disable)

Bibarel is my HM whore. Need my Noctowl and Kadabra to learn new stuff.

Yeah, I had a Haunter beforehand anyway. Evolved from a Gastly, but eh, couldn't be bothered to level it much, so I grabbed this one from that girl. Seems to be okay for now. Shame it didn't evolve into a Gengar.
