Official Pokemon Thread V.2

You have to be patience, that's all you can do really. It can be frustating trying to catch them, I know. However, if you're patient, you'll get lucky eventually. I reckon I spent about 2 hours trying to catch Azelf before I finally managed it. Your best chance is to keep up what you've been doing. Dusk Balls and Timer Balls are probably the best for these three pokemon, however, a Quick Ball is always worth a try on the first turn. A good way to lower a pokemon's hp to the minium is with the move False Swipe, it always leaves the pokemon with at least 1 HP.

I know that, but I don't have any Pokemon that can learn False Swipe. Also, I've been trying to get Azelf much longer than two hours. I lowered its HP as much as possible, put it to sleep, and threw a Dusk Ball at it. The ball didn't even shake once before it broke free. Honestly, I think I'm going to give up...

You catch the Mirage Trio the same way as any Pokemon.
Throw a Quick Ball
Lower it's HP.
Status infliction.
Use Ultra Balls/Dusk Balls (if it's night)
If it doesn't work, reset.

Guys, my buddy just came back from overseas and we plan to battle and trade on saturday. He got his DS and Pokemon Diamond before me and he was actually the one who encouraged me to get a DS and Pokemon Pearl so we could battle and trade but he went on vocation overseas for xmas, anyway he called me yesterday and said he is back and asked if i still want to battle/trade pokemon... of course i said yes.

The catch is, he says he hasnt played his pokemon diamond since he left {2months ago} lol. I remember that back the he had some lv 50s and lv60s, so my pokemon are at higher level than his. However we agreed on battling pokemon that are at lv50, which means i now have to raise a new team and still beat the league 5times a day to get the cash to buy them items to up their attack, defence etc.

Am so excited, cause he is a bragger so i cant let him win, if not i'll never hear the end of it... plus i'll be get the pokemon that u can only get by trading and that are only obtainable in diamond.

Am gonna leave my foot so far up his butt that people will swear that we are a siamese twin

Isn't there an option that puts your Pokemon at level 100? I did that with Kika (and beat her, too).

oh yeah, but doesnt that calculate ur pokemon stats at the basic lv100 status???

Yeah I think it does that and you could always put on the option where all your Pokemon are at lvl 50.

I've done all of that. It didn't work. However, I'm working on Mesprit, so once I hunt it down and get its HP low enough, I'll put it to sleep and throw a Quick Ball at it. That should do the trick...I hope.

Anyway, I finally managed to get Azelf after taking a break from chasing Mesprit. I'll nab the other two later. I'm just trying to watch my money in the process. I'm already spending a lot on Quick Balls, Timer Balls, and Dusk Balls for these guys.

It keeps all your stats. Kikz still got to use her "baby" (EV trained Starmie that was a ***** to kill) without its stats going wrong.

Isn't Azelf the one that you encounter in the cave?

If not, you should go for Uxie, if it fights you where it is.

The other two are wusses, run away.

My National Pokedex guide says Scyther can learn False Swipe, but I'm not capable of getting one yet. Is there any Pokemon appearing in the Sinnoh Pokedex that can learn it? I gotta lower Mesprit's HP some more if I can, despite it already being in the red zone.

One of the main reasons I stopped playing Pokemon was because of all this EV and IV training bull****.

It ruins the game, I'm not going to spend my time leveling up my Pokemon in some retarded way. And I'm sure as hell not going to play online against people who have an unfair advantage because they decided to EV train their pokemon.

If you were me, you'd be a millionare before trying to catch them. I had max money before trying.....

I guess beating the Elite 4 litteraly 50-70 times can help....=p

Then don't. I never EV trained my Pokemon, and still beat Kikz's ones. She was using legendaries and EV trained ones. I was using normal Pokemon with basic movesets.

Strategy is what you need. Strategy can let you win with a team full of level 10 Rattata against a full team of legendaries.

Yamari: Cubone learns it, I think. Also, most fighting types.

actually if u think about it, the fact that is so technical makes it more fun and difficult as well. For example, i have breed vigorously to get a rhorn with a calm nature reason being it would give my rhyperior a slightly better chance of surviving a special attack used against at the cost of some on his attack stat, i thought that was a good choice because rhyperior gets a 3 attack EV point plus i aslo wanted the ability {rock head} instead of {lightening rod}. i must have breed it about 20 times and only got the right one this morning... its fun trying to calculate/customize the pokemon rather than just catching, pumping it up and throwing it in to battle...Try it, maybe u'll like it

Uh...he upgrades your Pokedex so it can display some entries in different languages.

Also, I failed to capture Mesprit yesterday. I accidentally made it faint. Stupid me. Oh well, I wanted the wild goose chase to end someday anyway, so I saved afterward. Oh, btw, before I got Uxie, I caught me a Feebas!
