Isn't this thread a little late? Why don't we talk about how much the Wii sucks?

The cube had better graphics than the PS2... and titles like zelda or metroid can´t be ignored.

And the wii doesn´t suck. Why does this "war" even exist? Why can´t people say "I like the Wii better" instead of "PS2 and XboX suck"???

The cube was underappreciated and was outshined by PS2 and Xbox. If it had Online and more mature games, it would've done better. That, and more 3rd party support.

Now that the wii is out with online, better 3rd party support and slightly more mature games, it will undoubtedly do better than the cube.

It did have online. For 2 games. And you had to buy an external Gamecube Online Adapter for it to work.

To this day I have yet to play phantasy star online, online.

Well, I meant an online service that was consistent with the majority of the games.

Yeah, I agree, the online service for Gamecube was a joke. I hated it. Still love the system though.

I don't know about you but I've had a Gamecube for about 3 years now and it's getting pretty boring. So I chose average. My friend also calls it a Noobcube instead because there are lots of better gaming systems out there like ps2, ps3, X-box, wii, and I think it's kinda getting old.

I gave it for thumbs up because while there were not many games on it there were some games that were absolute quality, like WW Metroid Prime, mario kart, Resi 4 and there are more.

The Gamecube brought TWW, Metroid Prime and Echoes, SSBM, Harvest Moon Magical Melody, and other games I like with better graphics than the N64. Totally satisfactory in my opinion.

I gave the Gcube a 4. The Gamecube came out with amazing titles like SSBM, WW, Super Mario Sunshine, Prime and Echoes, and other games. It just didnt have the graphics (and dvd player) of the PS2 and it didnt have the power of the Xbox. While great games came out regardless, it was still last, powerhouse wise, and it didn't bring too many things the other consoles had (Im not talking specific games or franchises here, I mean controls, games, features, etc.)
Still, I chose a Gcube. Despite all its hardware shortcomings, it has some stellar titles. Its no mistake that 3 of the top 20 highest rated games are Gcube titles (gamerankings.com). While I respect the PS2 for Rachet and Jak, and I respect Xbox for Halo and KOTOR, I have to give my favorite gameing experience to the Gamecube.
But now I love the wii. =D

While I agree with the rest of that paragraph, I think the gamecube had one of the best graphics of that generation as Resi 4 showed and the GC I think had the best water graphics of that generation.

I give a 5/5. While it might not had the most games, but it did have exclusives that were absolutely amazing, like LoZ: WW, FE: POR, Tales of Symphonia, Super Mario Sunshine, SSB: Melee, and more. Many of my all time faves were on the cube. And the controller fit into your hand perfectly. The cube might not have been Nintendo's most successful system, but it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I wouldn't have complained if I saw more mature titles for the Cube, but I could care less about online. Most of the games I play are single player games, and I can enjoy it just fine without online. If I want online, I'll play a browser game for my PC.

I always thought that, but never checked up on it. Some of the games on GC did look so much better than those of the PS2. Prime being a good example, but I never saw a platformer look as good as Sunshine on Playstation, either. XBox had Conker, though....

Yeah, I checked online. The graphics are better, and the CPU and GPU speeds of a Gcube are faster than on the PS2.
Meh, than it was probably the storage capabilities of a PS2. The Gcube disc could only hold 1.5 Gigabytes while the media a PS2 used could hold more (I'm pretty sure). So the PS2 had more space to work with. But the graphics on the Gcube is better, yes.
