GAMEBOY COLOUR?

What are your thoughts on the gameboy colour? although its a really old system I think it was probably the best one. I don't know one person who didn't have a gameboy colour. I'm assuming Nintendo made a killing off of them. I liked how they came in a bunch of different colours which is the problem with systems these days there all too generic. The gameboy colour was also very durable I remember reading an article in Nintendo Power about a kid who left his gameboy colour outside and it got poured on by rain, run over with a lawn mower and chewed on by a dog and it worked perfectly afterwards it was just a little mangled.

The Gameboy Color was an amazing system back in it's day. It was my first handheld ever. I still have it (an Atomic Purple GBC) floating around somewhere. Together, with Pokemon Silver, I had many a good time.

If you've watched some old IGN weekly episodes, they visit Nintendo World in NY where they had a Gameboy (original) which had faced a grenade explosion in the Gulf War, and it still worked. It looked pretty awesome.

I read in a nintendo power, some kid tried to destroy his gameboy for fun. he left it out in the rain. ran it over with a lawnmower, and threw it repeatedly on the ground. It still worked. gameboy color rocks. it was my first handheld system as well.

The GBC had a number of good games, e.g. G/S/C, MGS: Ghost Babel, LA: DX etc., the amount of shovelware crap made for it really tarnished its image though.

I hated it. It was only good for all those color-enhanced games ported from from the original GB, but that's about it.

I have that same exact GB Color.

I like it. I'd much rather play a GB Color game on a GB Color than on a GBA.

You guys make me wish they still made games for Game Boy. Sniff sniff

I got GBC some years ago. But I only had 1 game. A Super Mario.

I had 7 due to losing them, at age 7. But it was pretty cool back then.

Super Mario Land, maybe? I remember playing that for the original gameboy when I was really young, and I just didn't understand a thing, I never made it past the second level.

Ahh those things were amazing. I believe that is the gameboy I had most fun with.

But there are still a few around...as far as the original gameboy...I wish I hdan't given mine away. I kind of miss it. How awesome would it look to play one of those things in public?

Yeah I think that was the one. Not sure though.

Ah yes, I've got one of those. It's torquiose, durable, easy to use, and I love it! I think it's much easier to use than the GBA. I have a few things for it as well... I've got litlle thing you snap on that turns the D-Pad into a Control Stick, and it makes the A and B buttons a bit bigger. I also have a portable battery handle thing. So pretty much if you don't have any batteries you snap this into the battery slot and you can use your GBC! (It also has handles on the sides.) I've got one ofthose cables for hooking three GBCs together, but I never could use it since none of my friends had GBCs...

Space Invaders!
Project S-11
Some TJ Javin game
Some skateboard game
A Godzilla game

I can't remember the names becuase I can't find the games.

I also have a case to keep my GBC, games, and things inside.

The Gameboy Colour was pretty fantastic, and was a nice improvement over the original gameboy. Granted I didn't have that many games for it during the time I had it, but Pokemon Yellow, Dragon Warrior Monsters, Conker's Pocket Tales, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, and finally, Pokemon Crystal (which was the last game that I got for it). I must say, that for a second-hand gameboy that I got almost ten years ago, it's in better nick and easily outlasted a friend's XBox 360. I still play it every now and then.
