I will be doing a section here that weekly-sort of-about Nintendo News!

Keep your eyes peeled!

You should have started the topic when you were ready. But I'll check up on it still.

cool cool, subscription noted, I will be checking in now and then!

So, first I will be catching up with the ones I've already done. Notice that the longer it goes, the better it gets so these first ones are pretty bad.

First one:

JASPER’S NINTENDO NEWS!!!
New Games:
Well, for starters, there’s Bully, which is a game about… well, bullying, pretty much. You’re a bully in High School, and through the game learn many interesting things. Then there’s Table Tennis. Ever played Ping-Pong? It’s like that, only using the Wiimote. Sounds fun, eh?
All you who have been awaiting Project H.A.M.M.E.R, I am sorry to say that it has been officially canceled. Apparently, the game involved a big hammer and aliens. Too bad it was canceled.
Next is Alien Syndrome. It seems to be a space RPG-ish game, and there’s a lot of hype about It, so let’s hope it’s good.
Now, Escape from Bug Island. This seems like a pretty good game… pretty much it is what it sounds like.

Well, let’s start off with the new games coming out.
Playground
Playground is a 3-D crafted game, featuring most of the games on.. well, the playground. Dodge ball, Tennis, soccer, basketball, etcetera. Due October ’07.
Smarty Pants
Smarty Pants doesn’t have a whole lot of info about it yet, but it’ll get some. Apparently it’s like you’re in a classroom, and the teacher asks questions and you answer them. A nice touch is how you raise the Wiimote to answer. Sounds sort of like a simpler Brain Age.
Pet Alien
Pet Alien is based on a CGI animated TV series. Apparently aliens try to help a boy they’re living with. Puzzles galore, with a nice feel to the whole thing. Due August 28 ’07.
Glory Days 2
Glory Days 2 is a World War – ish thing, a 2D side-scroller that actually looks quite fun. You rescue civilians while at the same time gunning down enemy craft. Addictive, but the campains are apparently a little short. For the DS, out now, given a 7.5 review by Gamespot.
Rock Band
Finally, Rock Band. If you have an XBOX 360 or a PS3 and a pulse, you are waiting for Rock Band. Maybe even if you don’t have any of those. For those of you that don’t know, Rock Band is the next Guitar Hero. To the 300,000,000. You pick your part as a singer, drummer, guitarist, or bass-er. You sing (play) along to the music, and try to do your best. It looks loads of fun, with good graphics, excellent play, and it’s already winning awards. Using online play, maybe you can even – Le Gasp – get 3 other people to play! Form your own Rock Band.. band. Only drawback is the whopping $200 it costs, probably for the fake instruments. Wow. You need this. Due for Fall ’07. Get it.

The Wii outsells the XBOX 360 in Exclusives!!!
An exclusive is a game that is only released for one gaming system. The Wii is clearing 100, while the 360 is below that.
Hooray!

Welcome fans, to another episode of JNN!
Let’s begin with a list of the new games out/coming.

Super Mario Galaxy
For the Wii, 1-2 players
S.M.G. looks very good. Not much is known, but from the name I’m guessing it might be a remake of old games. A fun idea, to be sure. Due for November 12 ’07.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
For the Wii, 1-4 players
S.S.B.B. is like a god to all Wii owners. Wow. For those of you that don’t know, S.S.B.B. is the 3rd generation of a button-masher with popular 3D Nintendo characters on a 2D plane. Totally awesome. This is like the RockBand for the Wii. You need it. If you want info, pics and cool stuff about it, check the ‘official’ site at Smash Bros. DOJO!!
Wicked. Gamespot ranks it #1 anticipated on the Wii.
Comes out December 3/07. GET IT!!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
For the Wii, 1 player
Metroid. Samus. Aliens. Girl in big suit. Ring a bell? All I can say is that anyone actually wanting to get ANY of the good games this season are going to be paying it off for YEARS. Yay. Anyhoo, Metroid is a 1st-person space shooter game that’s been going for a LONG time. It seems like a pretty good game, and they could do some interesting things with the Wiimote, but it’s been screwed up before *coughRED STEELcough*.
Who knows. Definitely a good choice for your money, though. Due for August 27 ’07. Quick quick, reserve it!

Wii Fit
For the Wii
Wii Fit is like a step up from Wii Sports and etcetera. It comes with a board for exercise and yoga and other things. Interesting, if I do say so myself, that they think this will be very popular. We’ll have to see. Not much is known about this, including the release date. We’ll have to see.

Tech Alien
I’ve heard some about this, but I can’t find it online. Oh well.

Mega Man Starforce: Dragon
For the DS, 1 player
Not an excellently done game, say the critics. Megaman is a 2D shooter. Maybe you’ll like it, maybe not. Given a 6 by Gamespot.

Mario Strikers Charged
For the Wii, 1-4 players.
Mario Strikers Charged is the much-hyped sequel of Mario Strikers. It’s a soccer game with your favorite Nintendo characters playable. You kick, tackle and special your way to the opposing goal, then charge up your strike and slam it past the goalie’s waiting fingers.
Seems like a lot of fun. Given 7.5 by Gamespot.

Boogie
For the Wii, 1 player
Boogie is a sort of spawn-off of the guitar hero and Rockband legacies, except you only sing and dance. All the same, it looks fun, though critics and users seem not to like it. Gamespot gave it a 5.5. Ouch. I think the $60 might be a little too much. Oh well.

TALK
Now the talk that’s going around.

Adventure Mode For S.S.B.B.
The new Super Smash Bros. game is rumored to have a story mode, with an actual storyline. Sounds good, like yet another thing that’ll be good about it. Woot!

This has been JNN, and remember, if you want those pesky zombies away, use a cheese sandwich. It works every time.

Welcome, welcome to another spectacular edition of JNN!!
I’m really sorry, lots of things cropped up so this is way too late. I’m operating on old news.
Let’s start off with the new games, as always.

NEW GAMES

Dave Mirra BMX Challenge
For the Wii, 1-4 players
This looks okay, I guess… I would have liked to have seen more data on it, but meh.
It’s a bicycling racing game, kinda Tony Hawk Game-y looking. You can have up to 4 people playing, and there’s an online feature, so that’s pretty nice. Due for today!

Brunswick Pro Bowling
For the Wii, 1-4 players
Just released today, BPB is a lot like Wii Bowling, at first glance. Looking more closely, however, we see that the screen is more complicated, game more thought out, and real characters instead of Miis. It looks pretty polished, I must say. Not bad.

Brain Age 2
For the DS, 1 player
For those of you that don’t know, the whole point of Brain Age games is to make you smarter. They come with a pack of brain-teasing games, mysteries and mind-boggling puzzles. You could compete with someone else to see who’s smarter, or you could challenge yourself to get a bigger brain.
Given a 7.0 by Gamespot.

Finally, BIOSHOCK, the game that’s sweeping the nation.
Currently out for the PC, this game packs a punch with graphics, whole WORLDS worth exploring, and a slowly assembling mystery. A piece of news is attached to this, but you’ll have to get it in the News section. Apparently there are some minor bugs, and that’s why it was only given a 9.0 by Gamespot, and you know how stingy they are.

We also have a lot of news.

Less IC chips and less PCBS = less Wiis
There’s some talk going around about how there are some hardware shortages of IC chips and PCBS, and that this shortage will cause another dip in Wii production. I personally don’t believe this, but you’re free to believe whatever you want. That’s what the NEWS section is for.

New XBOX 360 Core version- dubbed ARCADE
Apparently, Microsoft is redoing their Corse version of the 360, lowering price and changing the content a bit. I think this is STUPIDITY to the max. As the name implies, Microsoft is trying to get on the boat- the fast flying boat- of Arcade games. I’m sorry Microsoft, but just because you dub your console ‘Arcade’ doesn’t mean that all the fans of old Microsoft arcade games -wait… are there any?- will jump on it. The Wii is prominently the ‘Play arcade games on me’ console, and that’s not changing soon. Pretty much all the fans already have a Wii, why switch? Bad move, Microsoft.

Wii sells 1 Million in UK
The Wii recently has reached the 1 mil. point in the United Kingdoms! Hurrah!

Sonic in SSBB
Apparently one newcomer in Super Smash Bros. Brawl – the game we’ve all been waiting for – is our furry little friend from Sony, Sonic the Hedgehog. I’ve seen no confirmation of this, and the official site ( Smash Bros. DOJO!! ) says nothing of the sort. Odd, but this could have implications of more Sony characters and maybe a Microsoft one or two! Glee!
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t care much about the implications. I’m just going to enjoy beating the crud out of Sonic.

Ocarina of Time vs. Bioshock
As we’ve seen how Bioshock is taking names around the country, it’s also taking GREAT review scores. Back in the day, Oot did this too, and now Oot has a competitor for best reviewed game. I wouldn’t know, because right now all my poor PC can take game-wise is Sim-Ant. Ouch. Anyway, hold tight, folks.

I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t care much about the implications. I’m just going to enjoy beating the crud out of Sonic.

(Also, sonic is sega, not sony. Big difference.)

Also, the chances of sonic being in brawl are really next to nothing right about now.

Uh... how exactly? He's the most requested character to appear, so why not? I'd say his chances of appearing are close to 100%

^ I'm surprised SEGA or Sakurai havn't just denied it straight forward, since they gotta get a thousand emails about it every day. So there might be something they don't wanna say.

Do you think they care how many people ask them to add sonic to a game? If Sega doesn't want to add Sonic to SSBB then they don't have to and your percentages are pure fertilizer. Have a nice day.

P.S. Sonic wouldn't even be a very good character to have in Brawl. Quite honestly, I think his series started sucking after the Sega Saturn.

So...? We all did. But that doesn't mean he'd ruin brawl or anything. His precense would add so much to the game. He's one of the biggest gaming icon there is, for crying out loud!

If Sonic was in Brawl, I'd rather see him as a secret character that no one knows about in advance. Since SEGA isn't coming out and saying no, it could hint towards that.
