Halo: Combat Evolved+Halo 2 on PC

I have had Halo on the PC for about 8 months now, but I hardly play it because of my desktop's low video card and stuffed spagetti-like lag. For the past month, however, I've been playing it at my friend's house, and he's going off to New York until Thursday. Now that I'm soon getting my laptop (that's my best chance), I'll be playing it alot, erm, I mean ALOT.
I'm in love with the multiplayer goodness of competing with others. I made this thread to see if anyone else does, and if so, state your username so we might meet up online, wheather the first or second, and possibly 3 years from now, the third!

wait is this just halo 1 or is it both halos for pc?

Erm, it would happen to be both, depending which one you have.

I have halo 2 for the xbox but I wasn't sure if windows live can play with xbox live

My friend has a 360 and I have a gamertag, it's Pyrodan55. But i'm not sure if PCs can play Xboxes.

Seriously, there's already a thread for that, so you'd know. Didn't I say "PC"? in specific? How else can I say this? Computer. Desktop. Not Xbox.

No, you can not play with people if you have a pc and they have an xbox. At least for now you can not. I have no idea why though.

Um. I plan to buy it, but I don't know. Will it lag with a graphics card of this type: Integrated ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Graphics?

I don't really know your kind of brand, but on my friend's computer, it goes pretty swiftly on his. There isn't much lag (but if there are alot of hacks and mods and 16 players, it could sometimes "freeze", but that pretty much never happens). I have the box in front of me, so I'll just say the requirements for satisfying gameplay:
Normally:
-1.2 GB in hard drive
-32MB/30 T&L capable video card (I think I need one of those)
-Any Windows from 98SE to present + ME (128 MB RAM)
-733 MHz processor
-8xCD
-Sound Card
-Graphics card (I'm guessing I need that too, even though it doesn't say)
-speakers (kinda ovious, no?)
Online Multiplayer:
-56.6 kbps modem or LAN; broadband to run server (a requirement you might probably have)
And recommendation? It's definately worth getting. The controls may seem confusing at first, but you get used to it, and its seriously addicting. I recomend giving it a try if you're a fan of Halo who likes to play multiplayer for free (I think)

do you have high speed or dial up? Dial up is 56 k and high speed is can be like around 100 mbps. Right now my wireless is running at 54 mbps.
