Paper Mario: Thousand Year-Old Door

I need some advice a tip or something on how to beat the shadow queen.

Edit: People can also come here to ask questions, so it's like a help thread for Paper Mario: TYOD.

Re: Paper Mario: Thousand Year-Old Door

Funny, I just beat the game five days ago.

In regards to the Shadow Queen, I was at level twenty-six, had fifty lifepoints and fifty flower points, and about thirty badge points. I had also given my partners all the upgrades I could. In terms of items, make sure you have a bunch of health and magic refills. Also, Bobbery's "all-enemy" attack (I forget the name) is the absolute best! It wipes out the Queen's hands in one blow and knocks her health down by a pretty penny to boot. And, when the Queen powers up, use Vivian's Veil move to hide; the Queen will make an attack and lose her power-up in the process. Make sure you have the badges that allow you to switch partners without wasting a turn, have Mario jump on one enemy numerous times, and give Mario's hammer extra power.

Heh. My battle was rather intense, actually. Halfway through, I accidentally BINGO'd a trio of poison mushrooms, which knocked my points down to half and sent the audience out the door, resulting in no Star Power refills. By the end of the battle, she had eleven lifepoints left, and Mario had three, and no Life Mushrooms. The audience had come back a little, so I had only had three Star Power points. I used them on a "Clock Out", which I successfully executed (for the first time ever- I never used it prior to that), and this gave me the extra turn I needed to finish her off. Very edge-of-your-seat situation there.

However, personally, I think it would have been smooth sailing if that BINGO hadn't happened.
