Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

Hehe now if there has been a topic like this mods feel free to delete it, I apologize if there has been.

Okay well, I was playing Resident Evil four today and well I got passed Salazar, I have finished the game once before and I have to admit one of the most best horror games ever for me. The part I most dread is chapter 5, Regenerators... and Iron Maddens, they scare the crap out of me, the breathing and all the way they look just doesn't set well with me.

Although I enjoy the weapons and the amount of money you can carry, the different setting, and lets not forget the Merchant. LOL

So the question is, where do you mostly dread and what do you enjoy most about the game.

Re: Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

There are two parts I really dread, for completely different reasons.

1. Cage fight against Garrador in the Castle dining room. Every time I go to kick the door down and escape, I get maced by a Zealot. I've usually lost two-thirds of my health before I'm out.

2. That sliding tile puzzle as Ashley. I'm useless at those things; got it by sheer fluke first time, and had to consult a video walkthrough second time.

Everything else, I can handle. And Regenerators look hilarious.

Blarg, I hated the Bella Sisters. I didn't think of climbing the ladders to get away.

El Gigante chases you? Stand and fight, it's not hard.

Touché.

For the Bella Sisters, I just went with my usual strategy when faced with large groups of enemies; stand in a corner and shotgun everything. I honestly never thought of climbing back up the ladders (partially because I tend to kick them both down).

Re: Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

I think the jet ski part is one of the easiest parts of the game, i've never failed it.

The prison cell part with the Regenerator is the place a dread the most. First time i went there i obviously had no clue that it was there. So i went to the first cell, checked it out, turned around and saw the Regenerator right in front of me. It scared me quite a bit.

I don't like the start of the fight with Mendez. First time around, i wasn't sharp enough and missed the action button during the cut-scene. That following death scene is the most disturbing one in the game.

I dread the area with the 2 Iron Maidens after you fall down the garbage shoot. If you forgot the infared scope, you're f***ed.

Re: Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

Regenerators and Iron Maidens are pretty freaky, but the parts that really got me the first time through were with the Novistadors in the castle sewers, and the Plaga Hounds (or whatever you want to call them) in the hedge maze. In fact, those dogs still freak me out, even with the Chicago Typewriter.

Re: Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

Yeah, the Regenerators were the creepiest, but the Hedge Maze with the Comillos scared the life out of me. I jumped a good three feet in the air the first time that two of them leapt out of the bushes all of a yard away from Leon, though the worst was when you could hear them running, but you had no idea where they were coming from.

Re: Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

I agree with all those who say the regenerators are the worst. I just hate the way they move and look and the sounds they make and the music that plays. It is perfectly scarry. But as the the part i dread the most. I would say the part where you have to control ashley.

Re: Resident Evil 4 ; places you dread

I'm on my first playthrough of the Wii version, just before the first regenerator. So far the hardest part was fighting the two blind guys before Salzar drops you to the sewers. I've had very strange mishaps there.
